Luckily Derrike's only injury was a broken patela. 3. Sunoco posted: 03.07.2006 - 6:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jr. almost lapped the field in this one. Both had their parents (Clyde and Martin Sr) field the cars for them. 11. The body of the stylish orange Looney Toons #8 Chevrolet Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won this race driving eventually ended up in his race car graveyard, rusting away in the North Carolina woods. 16. Following the late restart for Tim Sauter's incident, Stacy Compton found himself spun into the infield grass on the frontstretch after just one lap, but the flagman swallowed his whistle and the race stayed green. Jamie McMurray and Jeff Burton traded paint while Michael Waltrip proceeded to get way out of shape running through turns 1 and 2 but managed to keep it pointed straight as everyone around him jockeyed for position. After a clean, uneventful lap, the brief sanctity of green flag racing was broken when Mike McLaughlin, Kerry Earnhardt and Randy LaJoie all got together coming out of turn 2 to finally bring out the yellow flag...again. Kerry refired and attempted to rejoin the field, but a fender rub from the contact resulted in a flat tire and he spun around backwards in turn 4, right at the pit entrance, while the rest of the pack split him as they raced back to the caution. Poor old Yosemite Sam probably wanted off of Kerry's hood at that point, so luckily for him Kerry only turned a single lap under caution before parking it a couple minutes early. 18.
