Jeff Green took over the #48 ride. 2. Harry posted: 06.07.2005 - 6:33 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) What a coincidence that in '05 he is suspended before the June Dover race a year and a half later. I didn't think that they should reinstate him then and I hope NASCAR never reinstate him again. They gave him a chance and he blew it. 3. He ended up jumping Stanton Barrett's #91 car and finished 13th, the best ever finish for Barrett as a car owner in 85 starts in Nationwide. 7. Not the Burgess team, apparently!) Drivers complained about oil being down on the track shortly after the race started - maybe it was determined that Nemechek's #99 was the source and he was yanked off the track as a result? The new "lucky dog" rule debuted in this race as well as the Cup race the following afternoon. So which driver was immortalized as the first-ever lucky dog in NASCAR history? Tammy Jo Kirk. Just like you would have guessed, right? An issue that presented itself very prominently in the Cup race barely warranted a passing mention in this race. Kirk received the free pass but then came back down pit road to top off on fuel. As Kirk was going to be nowhere close to finishing on the lead lap, much less contend for the win, the TNT booth didn't linger on the topic very long beyond noting that Kirk was the first beneficiary of the new rule. Tony Raines stopping on the track with 4 laps to go, bringing out a caution, landed the whole team in hot water with NASCAR. Raines, crew chief Mark Tutor, and BACE owner Brian Baumgardner were called to the NASCAR hauler post-race and Raines was parked for the last few laps. 12. Bill Weber was at the NASCAR on TNT pit hauler. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
