Busch had the tire problems near midway, handing the lead to Jeff Burton. However, he was not strong enough to hold off Greg Biffle in the end. It was Biffle's first win of the year. Notes: Ware Racing's #57 made it first of a handful of starts in 2004. Stan Boyd drove it to 41st. 2. At one point, Kyle Busch had made contact with Jason Schuler, with the FOX booth reporting that Schuler had been consistently running 6 seconds slower than leader Busch had. Perhaps unsurprisingly then, Schuler was the second-to-last car running at the finish, 8 laps down. It was not the last incident of the day, the last 10 or so cars in the field were so much slower than than the rest of the field that there was almost constantly a car in the way of the leaders until those slow cars dropped out - and several of those due to contact. Wisely most of the lapped cars opted to stay at the tail end of the pack on restarts instead of pulling along the inside line.
