Busch's car faded after his final pit stop, leaving it to Bobby Hamilton Jr. However, Kenseth shot from the middle of nowhere to take the lead with 25 laps left. Hamilton Jr.'s car sputtered on the final restart, leaving Busch to try to close with a handful to go. However, Clint Bowyer's stalled machine ended the race. Notes: Bowyer had wrecked in his 1st career start nearly 50 laps into the race. Wtih Bowyer in for Texas and Harvick out David Green took the point lead. After the race, Moy Racing's Donnie Nueunberger took a leave of medical absence due to cancer. Holigan Racing made it's first career race with David Starr. Tracy Hines's first career race ended in 20th. Bobby Labonte made his first start since 1999. He finished 11th. 2.
