(car was apparently one of Andy Ponstein's backups, with the Yahoo! decals pulled off but the purple paint still very prominent) Additional to the rear - 6 - backup car Crew chief Lance McGrew said that Kyle Busch's car for the weekend was one of the best he'd ever seen, going as far as saying he thought the team had a chance to top Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s mark of 190 laps led from 2002. Well, Busch didn't just surpass Earnhardt Jr.'s total - he smashed it to pieces. One of the very few cars to pass Busch all night was Jamie McMurray, who took the lead away from Busch but promptly had a tire go down after leading 2 whole laps. McMurray rode around for a little longer, but the car was damaged enough that he pulled off shortly after the restart. Ted Marsh's Whelen rides are usually adorned with maroon and white paint, but Dave Blaney ran a slick special Hometown Heroes scheme on this night that was black and white instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
