Great race, the young guys Stremme and Hmiel were battling hard for the
win, with the veteran Hornaday just sitting in 3rd, they used up their
tires and Hornaday with fresh tiresm drives on by. Crafty Veteran over
Wild Youngones.

This was Bill Hoff's last start

I was on his pit crew...and for clarification, the rear end of the car
really did have a issue, it was not a start and park. It was a great day
around the garage area, got to meet most of the drivers.

Fred Bickford was with Bill Hoff helping him out during the race.

This was my first race as a media member. Positive that the #70 was a
WD; the car crashed in practice. Have a picture of it. A crew chief or
owner in the garage made a crack about Johnny Davis bringing "three cars".

GoPM27, if you happen to see this at some point, I would really
appreciate it if you would share your photo of the #70 car somewhere
(Rubbins Racin, for instance). One of the few Busch cars from 2004 I
have not seen.

Hmiel lost the lead to Hornaday with seven laps left, and was running
third on the final lap when he got turned by Keller in turns 3 and 4
coming to the checkers. Luckily, fifth-place was far enough behind that
Hmiel didn't lose any additional positions as he spun a 360, gassed it
up and made it back to the finish line.
