Mike "Magic Shoes" McLaughlin's second place finish was lost in the
"hype" of Truex's Dover victory.

Kennt Wallace almost won but ran out of fuel handing the win to Martin
Truex, Jr.

Also, Jason Leffler's last race in Haas's #00 Chevy he announced he
would move into Nextel Cup driving the #11 FedEx Chevy for Joe Gibbs and
Gene Haas released him for Hendrick Development driver Blake Feese at
the next race in Kansas.

Aaron Fike turns in his first and only top-20 showing of the season,
piloting the bright-yellow Ollie's Bargain Outlet Dodge.

This was the last Busch attempt for Bill Hoff. He ended it with his
second DNQ of the season.

Busch North favorite Matt Kobyluck, a winner at Dover in that series,
takes his second stab at racing with the big tour but failed to qualify
for this one after a hard wreck in qualifying that wiped out his Mohegan
Sun #40 entry. He clipped the apron in turn 3 and went for a wild ride.

This week in bad pit strategy: Kenny Wallace was given the ok by crew
chief Chris Rice to stay out to the end and keep growing his lead over
second-place Martin Truex Jr., being relayed calculations that he would
run out of fuel in roughly turn 4 on the final lap. The team must have
forgotten to carry a 1, as Kenny actually ran out of gas in turn 2 with
11 laps to go. He finished a disappointing 20th. Truex was able to coast
to the win by a healthy 5-second margin over Mike McLaughlin.

Allen Bestwick along with Benny Parsons and Wally Dallenbach were the
pit road reporters. Matt Yocum along with Marty Snider and Dave Burns
were the pit road reporters. Bill Weber was at the TNT pit hauler.
