Did he grow tired of dodging inflatable oranges?
This was the last NASCAR race for Todd Szegedy. The 15th place run was
also his best finish.

If Armando Fitz and Terry Bradshaw wouldn't have fired Casey Atwood, he
could very well finished the season in the Top 10 in points.

Aaron, it's a possibility he could have finished in the top 10 in the
final standings had he not been let go. But that being said, if Bobby
Hamilton Jr. wouldn't have left his ride to go to Cup, and if Gene Haas
wouldn't have fired Jason Leffler, Casey Atwood probably would have
finished outside the top 10 in points anyway.

qualified the No. 99 car for Michael Waltrip.

@3 (aka 2007 me)
This was Szegedy's last race in NASCAR's Big 3 series but he returned to
the Modified Tour ranks and has a ton of success in that series long
after this race. (It should also be noted that Racing-Reference didn't
track the mods in 2007 at the time of that post.)

Mike Harmon spun to bring out the first caution here, with the booth duo
of Ralph Sheheen and Wally Dallenbach Jr. mentioning that Harmon's car
was sponsored by Bert Oostlander, a Dutch pigeon racer & breeder. Upon
learning that pigeon racing was a real business and not a joke, an
inquisitive Wally Dallenbach asks an important racing-related question:

"Can you setup a pigeon?"
