Carl Edwards dominated the race and cut a tire while leading, giving
Martin his 2nd win of the year. Edwards comes back to 7th place.

So close for Carl Edwards but Jack Roush still got the win with Mark
Martin. Mark is giving one heck of a salute to us. He wins the IROC
opener at Daytona then adds two Busch wins to his large tally and he is
in the top 10 in Cup Points. 'nuff said.

Although I'm not a big fan of Carl Edwards, I felt bad for him in this
race. To dominate and lose it because of a flat tire, but it was great
to see Mark Martin win, and it was a great battle at the end between
Harvick and Stremme.

Anybody know the record for consecutive runner up results?

Whatever it is, Harvick's stretch from the last race of '04 through the
first race of '05, plus his four victories during the year prove that
while he hasn't been the best driver on the Cup side, he can handle a
Busch car.

Mark Martin started 25th in this race and drove through the field to win
the race. In all 49 of his Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity series wins this was
the deepest starting position Martin ever came from on the way to a win
but usually finished just outside the top-10 or retired before finally
closing the deal here.
