Punting Dale Jarrett at the end, getting ON the throttle as he was punting DJ, and then being an arrogant turd over it. Simply inexcusable. 3. But I say Peanut Butter is better. 4. Anonymous posted: 04.10.2005 - 8:36 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) What does it matter? Harvick will go back to being horrible next week. I bet you Harvick will do bad at Martinsville. 5. Jake posted: 04.26.2005 - 9:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I don't know if this was a Busch race or an F1 race. It's not very often that two teammates w/ the very same sponsor finish 1-2. Awesome weekend for RCR. It's a cool fact that Dale Jr. and Kevin are the only two drivers to sweep the Cup and Busch races at Bristol. 6. My god.... 7. Steve posted: 03.23.2006 - 5:55 pm Rate this comment: (1) (5) It's not very convincing to refer to someone as an idiot when you can't even spell the man's name correctly... "Shane Hmeil ... what an idiot." His name is Shane Hmiel. And now that he's in USAC (a racing series that actually sees the talent that this young man has, unlike NA$CAR), I hope he kicks everyone's ass. Shane doesn't need NA$CAR to be sucessful. 8. michael posted: 03.25.2006 - 3:37 pm Rate this comment: (1) (2) steve you spell nascar wrong its like this nascar not like this na$car 9. Steve posted: 04.14.2006 - 8:29 pm Rate this comment: (1) (2) michael you punctuate wrong its like this, "Steve, you spell NASCAR wrong. It's like this: "NASCAR", not "NA$CAR." And I spelled it that way because $$$ seems to be "NA$CAR's" priority by trying to get new, young fans, which isn't bad, but they're losing diehard fans who've been fans for decades, with this "CHASE" crap, and the freezing of the field, and the free pass. I realize the field freezing is for saftey, but most of these things that they're rolling out are just for ratings, which, in trun, creates money, which isn't bad, but they no longer care about traditions like the Labor Day weekend Southern 500, season-long cahmpionship battles, and racing back to the yellow and checkered flags on the last lap, and I can't tell you how many times I've seen a wreck on the last lap, and they throw the caution flag and freeze the field as they're coming to the checkers! This year, the 16 car spun on the last lap of the Daytona 500, didn't hit anything, and they froze the field! That's damn stupid! It used to be that the caution would come out only if necessary; I saw an ESPN Classic race where a car hit the wall late in the race, no caution. Now they'd display the yellow flag if there was an ant on the track! And now you know why I call this sport "NA$CAR". 10. Steve, did you even watch the race? Hmiel bumped and ran the last three cars he had passed before he got to Jarrett. And I used to think Harvick was the most disrespectful driver out there. 14. USAC is where everybody starts, not finishes. Would you be proud of your son if he was like Shane Hmiel. Wait, maybe you are Steve Hmiel, but probably not, cause there is no way Steve Hmiel is proud of his son. Flipping off one of NASCAR's all-time greatest drivers, what a jerk Plus, NASCAR was nice to Shane Hmiel, they gave him plenty of chances because of his dad, but he still blew it. Although now he looks like an eagle scout compared to Aaron Fike. Rumors are that Jon Wood had the same problems (remember his "headaches") but he was mature enough to get over them, but not Shane. You're a jerk for supporting this WASTE of talent, like Strawberry and Gooden!!!!!!!!!! 16. Reese's doubled down their entries for this race so they could promote both "Limited Edition" candies and it netted them a 1-2 finish. The chocolate car won but I prefer the peanut butter parts. 17. David Green also wound up riding the wall in the '97 Cup night race and actually flipped a couple of times. 23. So yeah 1996-97 saw a few flips at Bristol. 26. And ironically the #38 Great Clips car that Kahne was driving was the car that made contact with Truex in 2005 causing him to do it when Leffler drove it. 28. Bodine wouldn't let the lead lap cars through, so Johnny moved him out of the way in Turn 1. NASCAR decided it wasn't OK for Sauter to do that, though it's been done many times by many others before, and docked him 2 laps (Johnny has never been one of NASCAR's favorites). A bit later, Bodine forces Martin Truex Jr up the track in Turn 3 (maybe by accident), and forces him into the wall out of Turn 4. Surely, Bodine couldn't have forgotten Truex was there just 3 seconds after Turn 3, but then Bodine's awareness of others on the track has never been one of his strengths. Truex spun him in Turn 1, and was held for a lap. Whoever was officiating this race must've been a Bodine fan. Two ridiculous penalties for lead lap cars held up by a lapped car who couldn't pay attention to who was immediately around him. 33.
