To answer Darrell's question: Todd Shafer's self-owned team was given
the right to use the number 91 on their car before the team of Wayne
Edwards, which renumbered their car with the number 9.

I have a quick correction from the broadcast of the race, D.J. Hoelzle
started 42nd instead of 36th.

Randy Lajoie's car carried a special decal in honor of Jim Kelly's son
Hunter, who died of Krabbe's Disease the day before the race. Kelly, the
HOF Buffalo Bills quarterback, was a partial owner or a sponsor or
something like that with the #34 team. I believe that the car had been
sponsored by the charitable foundation Hunter's Hope at some point
earlier in the season, I'll have to go find the old magazines I have
that reference that.

Allen Bestwick and Benny Parsons were the commentators. Ralph Sheheen
and Lindsay Czarniak were the pit road reporters.
