It could have taken just a few minutes to determine the official results! Freezing the field is unnecessary! I agree with Kasey Kahne, "a bonehead move by Biffle." I heard Greg on Inside Nextel Cup, and knew he would try to pin the blame on Kyle Busch, and he did. He had Brian Vickers' rear tires lifted off the ground before Kyle even touched him. 5. Thomas posted: 02.22.2006 - 4:52 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Greg Biffle is NASCAR's favorite scapegoat. If anyone with eyes watched the replay, they would have seen that Denny Hamlin didn't get a good restart, he was slow in turn 2, and Tony Stewart slowed down behind him, whoever was behind Smoke slowed, and then the guy behind him slowed (Brian Vickers.) Biffle was behind Vickers and couldn't get slowed in time, causing contact with Vickers. It was a typical chain reaction crash, with no one really at fault. The crash at the finish line was awesome, but the caution was unnecessary. It just screws up the race for no reason, leaving the fans unsure of who the hell finished where for hours. Until now, I thought Clint Bowyer finished 2nd and Burney Lamar 3rd. And I'm still waiting for NASCAR to reveal the locations of those imaginary "scoring loops" that they claim are carved into the racing surface. 6. michael posted: 03.20.2006 - 9:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) greg biffle the 16 car bumps brian vickers 57 and sla,s into kasey kahne 9 biffle kahne vickers are out of the race biffle finished 31st brian vickers 32nd kasey kahne 33rd 7. michael posted: 03.22.2006 - 10:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) i thought kevin harvick finished 4th and jon wood finished 5th the accident involded was elliott sadler denny hamlin reed sorenson mark green jason keller kenny wallace ashton lewis jr stacy compton and jamie mcmurray dale jr and danny o quinn jr were coming to pit road 8. nomore94 posted: 04.21.2006 - 1:22 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) So much wreckless driving. 9. 0reo posted: 04.21.2006 - 1:27 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) the oreo car was cool 10. I say if the wreck is behind the pack (meaning there's no danger for the driver in the crash), let them race back to the checkered flag. 12. Steve posted: 07.04.2006 - 12:37 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) What I meant about freezing the field in this situation is that more cars will be in the wreck. They're either in the wreck or they're not; the caution flag won't change that. And I am still in disbelief over the Biagi Brothers team releasing Mark Green (who finished 10th in this race). Their best finish without Mark has been 15th, with Kevin Hamlin (a Northwest Elite Division Champion or something) and Auggie Vidovich (some cat I'd never heard of until I saw the list of drivers for the Roush Gong Show, and he raced in some series I'd never even heard of). 15. Steve posted: 11.04.2006 - 4:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) You're right, Jeff, but I was referring to their performance this season. Yeah, that's too bad about NEMCO motorsports. 19 Busch wins (16 for Joe Nemechek, 3 for Ron Fellows, maybe a couple more with other drivers), a Busch title (1992), and a Truck win by Ron Fellows. A correction on the sponsor Joe had in this race: it was Denver Mattress. 17. biffle16 posted: 05.31.2007 - 3:12 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I agree with Miller, the kid has practically zero talent. 18. He was going to struggle as a rookie, given, but he had the potential to be a champion in this sport I don't think it was Dollar General that wanted Lamar gone. I imagine Harvick wanted better finishes even if he was a rookie. The reason for this belief is that for 2009, Lamar will be sharing the 32 Toyota with Brian Vickers with sponsorship from .... Dollar General. 20. Todd Kluever: Only 4 other top 10 finishes, effectively out of NASCAR after 2007. Mark Green: Only 1 more top 5 finish (at Talladega in 2008 in the infamous Kevin Lepage imitating a little old lady race) 30. They were introduced late in 2005 and this race was part of the push to market the new creation. The tie-in also saw Kevin Harvick start his 2006 Busch Series championship season driving a one-off silver #29 Hershey's Kissables Chevrolet for RCR that was liveried to resemble the candy's wrapper. This was the only time all year Harvick drove the #29, he ran a full-time campaign split between RCR's #21 and his self-owned #33 throughout the rest of the season. While Harvick's season was a success Kissables ultimately weren't and they were discontinued in mid-2009. This was the last year for Hershey's sponsorship of this race. 37.
