Probably the best busch race so far this season (after 5 races) except
for Daytona

It's been a while hasn't it? I've been watching NASCAR since 2001 and
was starting to wonder if Jeff Burton would ever win again in anything.

Kyle Busch's right rear tire blew out in spectacular fashion, tearing
almost all of the sheet metal off the right rear of the #5 Chevy.

Only one of 3 races where Harvick didn't finish in the top 10 during his
dominant 2006 championship season. This was one of the few races he ran
his own #33 in though, Jeff Burton won the race driving the #21 that
Harvick did most of his damage with.

Crazy how in this race there were 43 legit cars with corporate
sponsorship and support. 8 years later, and there are maybe about 20
teams like that in the Nationwide series

Busch & Newman both had spectacular right-rear tire blowouts, shredding
significant chunks of sheetmetal on the right side of the car in the
process. Pretty much the maximum amounts of damage possible from cutting
a tire and not making contact with the wall, though Newman did wind up
backing it into the wall at the end of his slide after already incurring
a ton of damage from the tire blowout alone.

Busch & Newman also wound up being the cause of the first two cautions
in the Cup race on Monday, though in (thankfully) less-spectacular
fashion than in this race. Newman was turned by Denny Hamlin and made
relatively-light contact with the outside wall, while Busch stopped on
the track with a flat tire.

Your AJ Foyt IV caution tally for the 2006 season: now up to 4 (ha!)

Mike Joy along with Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip were the
commentators. Dr. Dick Berggren, Steve Byrnes, Matt Yocum and Jeanne
Zelasko were the pit road reporters. Chris Myers and Jeff Hammond were
in the Hollywood hotel.
