2004 NEXTEL champ has ROOKIE STRIPES on the back of his racecar.

This was a decent race though. Except for AJ Foyt driving like an idiot
as usual and taking out Jay Sauter. I thought for sure that Sauter was
injured when I saw his car. Thank God he was OK!

Yeah, I have to admit it sent a little bit of pain throughout my body
every time I saw Jay Sauter careen off one wall and hit another. I was
very surprised when I saw him unhook his steering wheel after the wreck.
I thought for sure he at least had a concussion or had been knocked
unconscious.

Wrong race Billy. This is the Busch race.

Kurt prancing around like a ballerina after the race and his little snow
angel has done little if anything to quell his haters. In fact, its
probably made it worse. I know I can't stand the guy now.

Last start (so far for AJ Foyt IV). He and his cousin/uncle Larry
definitely didn't inherit AJ II's driving skills.

That is for sure!! AJ just had his gas leak out in the INDY 500 and I
was like, Oh Man did he SUCK in NASCAR!!! This was his best finish a
24th!! and he wrecked Johnny Sauter!!

Why the rookie stripes? Well, Kurt Busch had never driven in the Busch
series prior to this, while at Roush he drove in the Truck Series and
skipped the Busch Series altogether and went straight up to Winston Cup.
So first win, first start for Kurt in this car.

107,000 people in attendence for a Busch race at Texas? They can't even
fill that many seats for the Cup race anymore..

Mike Joy along with Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip were the
commentators. Dr. Dick Berggren, Steve Byrnes, Matt Yocum and Jeanne
Zelasko were the pit road reporters. Chris Myers and Jeff Hammond were
in the Hollywood hotel.
