Harvick took the Gibson guitar and was the eight nextel cup driver to win a Busch Series event this year, making it 8/8 for the cup guys. Harvick extended his points lead to 156 points over Denny Hamlin. Some good crashes involved the Sauter brothers getting together. Kyle Busch spunt out three times, bringing out the caution three times as well. Erin Crocker spun out just before half way, taking out several cars. Todd Kluever was nailed from behind by Mark McFarland. 2. Thomas posted: 04.16.2006 - 6:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thorough recap, my friend, mk17ce99! Not much else to say about this one. 3. Reminds me of that idiot Adam Sandler and his horrible film, "Happy Gilmore." 5. And Darrell, even though you win the Unprovoked Greg Biffle Slam of the Day Award, it at least looks like you acknowledge Harvick's lack of character. 7. I bet he cries all the way to the bank. I didn't see the race but way to go Kevin. 8. Miller4Prez6 posted: 04.18.2006 - 7:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I don't like seeing Kevin win, but w/e 9. Listening to the soundbite from the media center deal at Bristol gets a good laugh from me every time. Plus I really think he's on the verge, now that RCR is finally a competitive operation again, of busting out like everybody expected him to after 2003. 11. Thomas posted: 04.21.2006 - 5:49 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Darrell, you're right about one thing. Harvick does act like a disgruntled teenager, even when he does well. He's got to be the most overrated driver on the circuit, too. It's just like Bobby Hamilton said at Martinsville in the fall of 2001 when Harvick spun him out for the lead late in the race: "Richard Childress hired him to replace Dale Earnhardt, so Harvick thinks he is Dale Earnhardt, so he tries to act like Dale Earnhardt, but he doesn't make a chap on Dale Earnhardt's ass when it comes to talent." I think the media should give him the moniker "Hapless Harvick". Fits pretty well, and it has decent alliterational qualities. 15. Thomas posted: 02.07.2007 - 8:31 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yeah, Michael Waltrip was in a Ford owned by Clarence Brewer and David Reutimann was in a Dodge owned by Michael Waltrip. The listing has it backwards. Mikey did it this way because he was scheduled to run some races for Clarence Brewer in the #66 in 2006. However, since people associate him with the #99, Brewco decided to let him run the #99 even when he was driving for them and not his own team which uses the #99. So whenever Reutimann was in the same race as Waltrip, he just ran the #66 since Brewco wasn't using it. Pretty confusing, don't know why they didn't just get a different number for Reutimann. 19. Ivan Balakhonov posted: 07.01.2013 - 2:15 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) To Webmaster: Indeed, Thomas is absolutely right, correction should me made: #99 was Ford entered by Brewco (Clarence Brewer) #66 was Dodge entered by Waltrip 20. Paul posted: 08.07.2016 - 12:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) This was Michael Waltrip's first scheduled Busch race of the season driving for Brewco Motorsports, as he was supposed to split time with Ken Schrader in the No. 66 Ford for the 15 races that Yard-Man was sponsoring the car during the 2006 season. However, a sponsorship conflict prematurely ended the Waltrip/Brewco relationship, as Waltrip was being sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts in the Cup Series, while competitor Federated Auto Parts was an associate sponsor of Clarence Brewer's Busch team. Waltrip attempted to appease both Brewer and NAPA by driving with car number 99 for this race (even though it was a Brewco Motorsports Ford), with David Reutimann driving the No. 66 MWR Dodge, but ultimately the deal fell through and Waltrip wouldn't drive any more Busch races for Brewco Motorsports. Scott Wimmer, who was already scheduled to drive 13 Busch races for Brewco in 2006, replaced Waltrip in the No. 66 Ford. 22. It was a good thing he didn't land on another car and possibly roll over, but the onboard camera footage is nerve-wracking all the same. 25.
