Absolutely ridiculous. NASCAR continues to show their incredible (in)consistency when it comes to penalizing drivers. If I was Clint I'd have been in the NASCAR hauler as soon as I got out of the car. Its one of the most ridiculous calls I've seen in my life. I don't agree with calling guys like Harvick and Bowyer that are running the full schedule a Buschwhacker. They're full time Busch competitors so I don't see how they Buschwhack. Somebody like Rubberhead or Biffle or Mark or Mears that only runs a few races, yeah they're Buschwhackers, but I disagree with calling the full time ones that. Oh, and congratulations Kevin. It'll be a perfect race win weekend for me if Stewart wins tonight. 3. I don't mind running a handful of races like Mears and Nemechek do, but more than half the schedule is simply too much. 4. mk17ce99 posted: 04.22.2006 - 7:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Harvick doubles up in the desert and wins two in a row in the Busch Grand National Series at the Phoenix International Raceway for the Bashas' Supermarket 200. There race went into a green-white-checkered where Harvick held off a hard charging Reed Sorenson for the win. John Andretti brought out one of the more noticeable cautions when he drove the car in too hard under Casey Mears and lost control of the car, collecting Johnny Sauter and Scott Riggs, all top 10 contenders. Some other cautions included J.J. Yeley getting spun by Paul Menard. Kurt Busch had led the race at one point and looked very strong until a he came to pit road under caution for tire problems. Polesetter Jason Leffler was spun by a Clint Bowyer ending Leffler's dominant night with hard damage to the left rear of Leffler's car. Nascar would penalize Clint Bowyer sending him to the back of the pack where a couple of laps later he would get caught up in a wreck involving David Gilliland in the 84 Car. This set up the green white checkered. Kevin Harvick would stretch his point lead to 289 points over Clint Bowyer. 5. I just don't like that punk ass kid Denny Hamlin, especially after he wiped out Kleuver and called Mark Martin a dirty driver at Martinsville, and bitched about Boris Said at Mexico because his restarts weren't good enough to suit Hamlin. It will be one of the biggest jokes in NASCAR history if Harvick wins the Busch championship. He already won one in 2001, and it will further solidify the fact that he is only good enough to compete and win in the lower-tier Busch Series. The win on Saturday in Nextel Cup was a fluke. He hadn't led a lap all night and suddenly he wins the race and takes the lead with 12 to go. The only reason Hapless Harvick is doing any good this year is because he is racing for his job with Childress. 6. Watching this season makes feel torn apart. On one side, racing was much much better than today, on the other - Cup guys flat out dominated in the series. I'm trying to ignore this fact and it helps me to enjoy each race I watch. This one was particularly interesting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
