Also, I met Regan Smith two days before this race was run. Cool guy! 2. Rusty posted: 08.13.2006 - 3:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Awesome battle between Robby Gordon and Kurt Busch!! WOO GO KURT! and why is Robby listed in the #55? He drove the 7. 3. mcmurrayfan posted: 08.13.2006 - 5:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Good run for John Andretti. Boris Said was the highest finishing hired road course ace. 4. John Andretti's first career Top 5 in BGN racing. Harvick extends his eternal point lead. 5. I say this because it says he has #55 on the results page on NASCAR.COM. 7. Darrell posted: 08.19.2006 - 4:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Andretti took over the ROTY points lead after this race. I wonder if the people who were laughing at him when he declared for the award are eating crow now (thought it ain't over yet). Either way, it's impressive as ppc has been on a shoestring this year. 8. Matt posted: 04.28.2009 - 12:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Sponsor for the #0 was National Parts Peddler. 9. What a bonzai move, driving full speed into the inner loop, door slamming Kurt and nearly wrecking both cars. That's called driving with reckless abandon, if I've ever seen it 13. Future Truck crew chief Eddie Troconis fails to make the show in his only Busch series attempt, though his home country of Mexico was well-represented by Michel Jourdain, Carlos Contreras and Adrian Fernandez anyway. Jourdain was able to lead a few laps by playing the off-strategy to the frontrunners, but broke late and finished 39th. At least his PPC teammate, John Andretti, was finally able to put his first Busch top five on the board after running a strong race of his own. It was a rough season for series rookie Andretti, whose up-and-down year was much more in line with that of a traditional rookie rather than a "rookie" who had over 300 Cup starts (and two wins!) to his credit. However, he was definitely an upgrade over the occupants of his car the year prior, the aforementioned Jourdain and Brent Sherman. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
