Thankfully with the advent of the Car of Tommorrow, Carl Edwards is the only one greedy enough to still run both schedules. And props to Keselowski on his run. That's one of the first races that team's finished this year. 6. Thomas posted: 10.03.2006 - 8:19 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I'm sick of it too, Rusty. And I coined that Harvick phrase in an earlier post! But it's fair use anyway. LOL! 7. They need to limit cup drivers to 7 races a year, unless they are a rookie then let them run all companion races, they shouldnt be going to Nashville. 8. Thomas posted: 10.07.2006 - 9:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Rusty, that's a perfect idea! They should only allow the Buschwackers to run 7 races, unless they're a rookie. 9. Steve posted: 11.23.2006 - 2:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) What do YOU think the solution to the Buschwhacking problem is? NA$CAR should: 1) require Buschwhackers who are in the Top 35 in Nextel Cup points to qualify on time, despite Busch car owner points 2) forbid Nextel Cup drivers to compete unless they do so in a car that they own (like Earnhardt and Waltrip did 15-20 years ago) 3) do what Kevin Harvick suggested and cut back on companion events Let me know your opinions. If you think there is a better solution, go ahead and submit that. 11. biffle16 posted: 04.24.2007 - 2:23 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) Fixed. Simply amazing. :( 12. It has seemed to work for ARCA why not try it in busch. 14. John Andretti, driving the No. 10 for Greg Pollex, had the company Gander Mountain on board his Ford in what was Gander Mountain's first appearance as a listed sponsor in NASCAR. Thirteen years later, the company, now named Gander Outdoors, will be the title sponsor of the NASCAR truck series starting in 2019. Kinda cool to look back at posts @4 and @5 and see Brad Keselowski, pre-Brad Keselowski as we know of him today, getting some hats off. 15. rm posted: 03.28.2020 - 8:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Surprised the events of the first caution period haven't been mentioned here. The first caution flew on lap 27 for Brad Coleman going for a spin off of turn 4 and sliding through the trioval grass, taking quite the ride but escaping with no terminal damage (well, not from that one - he finished it off about 20 laps later, drawing a brief red flag in the process). Just as the yellow flies, Denny Hamlin spins in turn 2 and backs his car hard into the wall in a near-simultaneous incident. Hamlin refired and drove down the track to right his car and get back going. There was just one problem: Hamlin rolled all the way down to the apron and right into the side of Jennifer Jo Cobb, who was well out of the way and otherwise had the accident scene missed. Cobb was done for the day with the damage. Hamlin may have had two Cup wins already in 2006 and entered this race weekend tied for third in the Chase standings, but you wouldn't know that from his bizarre accident here. 16. Foote posted: 03.28.2020 - 9:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Coleman -- who smashed the wall with the drivers side -- had that "I don't know where I am" look when he finally got out of his car. I wonder how many concussions were hidden not only in the early days of racing, but in the 2002-2008 range pre-COT. Dale Jr's hidden 2002 concussion after the Fontana crash sparked new regulations, but I still wonder how many concussions were suffered vs reported. 18. rm posted: 05.03.2020 - 2:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Coleman did spend the night in a local hospital and was released the next day, but no word on if he was diagnosed with a concussion or not. 19.
