Jason Leffler(22nd), David Reutimann(29th), and John Andretti(39th) were the other Toyotas. Overall this race was pretty disapointing not much side by side racing. 2. Haas-Carter Motorsports returns to NASCAR, with the #14. They had a great week in practice but ultimately had a dissapointing race. Robert Richardson's first race. 3. Thomas posted: 02.18.2007 - 4:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) It was a great race until about 50 laps to go. They stopped having cautions and it spread the field out too far. Why did no one race or try to pass anyone after about 20 laps to go? Screw Hapless Harvick. It must be nice to always be the big fish in a small pond. 4. Not bad! :+: Marcos Ambrose: Daytona debut and Busch debut, top rookie (16th) Dave Blaney: 25th Top 10 (2nd) Ward Burton: first Busch race in 5 years (32nd) Sam Hornish Jr.: best Busch finish (31st), ran strongly before brushing the wall Robert Richardson: Busch debut (28th) Casey Mears, David Stremme, J.J. Yeley failed to qualify? Wow! Hopefully Armondo Fitz's Busch team can get out of that slump they've been in since 2005. 8. biffle16 posted: 02.19.2007 - 11:44 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Congrats to Harvick. Rusty Wallace(1989 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Champion), Dr. Jerry Punch(ex-NASCAR commentator), and Andy Petree(Champion Crew Chief with Dale Earnhardt) where the commentators. The race started with Joe Gibbs development driver Aric Almirola on the pole, Almirola had a disapointing race failing to lead a lap from the pole and finished 19th. Jason Leffler led the first lap of the 2007 Busch Series season in a Toyota Camry. The first incident was for Jon Wood getting loose off of turn 2 and collecting Dave Blaney and David Ragan. The 2nd wreck of the day was Reed Sorenson getting loose going to the tri-oval taking out Kasey Kahne, Jamie McMurray, Ward Burton, and others. Kyle Busch seemed to have the car to beat but was spoiled when he had fuel pump problems on lap 82 making it 0/3 in speedweeks for Kyle who also led the most laps in the Budweiser Shootout and his Gatorade Duel. After that the race was practically incident free, Kevin Harvick took the lead with 42 laps to go and never looked back. Dave Blaney earned comeback of the day after being involved in a wreck early he came back to finish 2nd in a Toyota. 13. But only 1 caution after that. NICE. 14. Yeley and David Stremme, two other big names, fell victim to the wind in qualifying. 15. Good, solid run for Mark Martin, who will always be the Buschwhacker Legend. 23.
