The new Las Vegas provided a wreckfast of a race....and nice finish
between Jeff Burton and Kyle Busch.

Marcos Ambrose did have an impressive run, he spun early and came back
to get his 2nd straight top 10, good run for the aussie.

Just think...if we don't have any Buschwhackers at Kentucky or Nashville
in June, Marcos Ambrose could win a Busch race! I like what I've seen
from him in the early season. I though David Ragan would run away with
Busch rookie honors, but it would appear not! Great finish between
Burton and "The Shrub", or "Rowdy Busch".

Justin Diercks: best career finish (22nd)
Carl Edwards: 50th Top 10 finish (6th)
Fitz Racing: first Top 5 fin ish since IRP in 2005 (5th)
Kasey Kahne: 125th career start (28th)
Brett Rowe: debuts with a crash (43rd) :(
David Stremme: first Top 5 finish since IRP in 2005 (5th)

I think if Marcos Ambrose is to win a race this season, it would either
be Montreal or Watkins Glen, due to his expeirence on road courses.

And wasn't it nice to see Kyle Busch finish the race backwards and lose
to Burton?

Kyle Busch showed some maturity congratulating Jeff Burton like he did,
I was expecting him to yell at him or something. Also congrats to Shane
Huffman in 9th for being the highest Busch regular.

It should say "WD" and "Means Racing" for Kevin Lepage's position and
sponsor in the "Failed to qualify or withdrew" section of this race's
page, respectively. The fuel line came off the No. 52 car and caught
fire during the first practice session before Lepage could complete a
lap. The team didn't make a lap during the second/final practice
session, and withdrew from the race prior to the qualifying session.

As a side note, Donnie Neuenberger was listed as the driver of the No.
52 car on the preliminary entry list. I'm guessing that the driver
change was made because the team was going to start-and-park in the
race, and Lepage was already at the race track attempting to qualify the
No. 34 Nextel Cup car for Front Row Motorsports. (He DNQ'd for the Cup
race.)

about.

@11. Could it be because ESPN's calls were so bad? The 2007 and 2009
Talladega Nationwide races also had incredible finishes but the calls
were both botched by ESPN's "commentary" team. IMO the call is just as
important as the actual finish. Also Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity stuff
seems like it gets downplayed as well.

Dr. Jerry Punch along with Rusty Wallace and Andy Petree were the
commentators. Mike Massaro along with Dave Burns, Jamie Little and Allen
Bestwick were the pit road reporters. Chris Fowler along with Tim Brewer
and Brad Daugherty were in the ESPN pit studio. Brent Musburger was the
studio host.
