He's done it before; twice in 2002: in March at Las Vegas and Darlington, and in October at Kansas and Charlotte. Sam Hornish Jr.: best Busch Series finish (15th) Brad Keselowski: best career finish (25th) in a car that Chris Wimmer couldn't get qualified until race 6 last year Casey Mears: 10th Top 5 finish (5th) Juan Pablo Montoya: best oval track performance in a stock car (8th) Jay Sauter: failed to qualify a car which he kept in the 20th-25th range in owner points Tony Stewart: first Busch race in a car numbered 20 (10th) David Stremme: continues to impress me in the Fitz car, which failed to finish in the Top 30 in owner points last year (11th) 2. The next incident would be for Jason Leffler cutting a tire on the frontstretch and making hard contact with Reed Sorenson lifting his ride side tires up in the air. Later under caution Kyle Krisiloff was moving to get the lucky dog but Tony Raines moved up in front of him causing a hard crash under the yellow. Another wreck involved David Stremme getting into the back of Jamie McMurray. The race pretty much stayed clean for a while until Jon Wood got loose and came up and collected Steve Wallace, the final incident of the day was when Sam Hornish, Jr. sent Todd Kluever into the wall head on. On the final set of pit stops, Kyle Busch who led 143 laps was penelized for loose lugnuts handing the win over to Jeff Burton. Also on a side note: Isn't it weird that in the 2006 and 2007 Nicorette 300 Kyle Busch won the pole and Jeff Burton won the race in both events. 3. His first NASCAR race since the Daytona 500 in February ended in a lap 16 crash. 4. b4il3y posted: 03.18.2007 - 7:36 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) You have to look a long way to find the highest finishing Busch regular. Sam Hornish really isnt a regular, but he finished 15th. Mike Wallace is the real first regular and he finished 17th. Maybe one day they'll figure out that's why drivers aren't being developed properly, because they can't make Busch races because too many cup drivers are taking up spots. 5. The Bu$ch Series has gone down the crapper fast, and I'm not sure at this point if it can ever be saved. :( Great to see Ron Young in the race though! :+: 7. Dan To Dan: Hamlin=only one who is competitive in Cup and has won. I think I'll stand by my statement. 12. biffle16 posted: 04.30.2007 - 12:51 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thankfully, this race is not 203 laps and 500 miles long. Harvick probably would've won with a last-lap pass. And I don't want a repeat of Daytona. ;) 13. biffle16 posted: 05.01.2007 - 3:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Whoops. 312 miles. My bad. 14. I agree with you though, just wanted to point that out. 15. Waltrip participated in all practice and qualifying sessions for the Atlanta Busch race, but wound up finishing 43rd after an early crash in the race. 17. He made a one-off start in Todd Braun's 32 car finishing 43rd after an early crash. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
