Probably because he sucks at Cup and needs some system to convince the sport he can stll drive. First race for Revelocity Racing, the 73 team. They are right now the only team from West Virginia competing in NASCAR. 2. Zac posted: 04.09.2007 - 12:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) And you thought last year was a blow out? Carl Edwards already leads by over a race and a half's worth in points. 321 points in only seven races? Holy crap. I didn't think it was possible, but this year he could win by over 1,000. Great race due to the lack of Cup guys, IMO. Reutimann looked strong early, Leffler looked good, and Blaney, despite a bonehead spin by Johnny Sauter on the straightaway, still ended up 3rd. Toyota also managed to finish 2-3-4 in this race. Ambrose had a great starting position in 2nd, but for some reason fell like a rock as the race began to unfold. And somehow, Carl Edwards manages to lead a ton of laps and win. *Sigh* Another long year for the Busch guys... 3. And i usualy like to see Steve Wallace run good but come on to take out David Ragan like that very uncalled for!!! Also I think that Todd Kluever had a third place until he hit the wall. 5. So disappointing. And speaking of Champ Car, unless you don't mind enduring Bill Weber, don't watch next week's Long Beach Grand Prix! Though he's changed his catch phrase slightly from "We'll see what happens" to "We'll see how (this or it) plays out"; not any improvement from him. If you think saying "Ryan Neeman" is a dumb mistake, get a load if him trying to pronounce a name like Simon Pagenaud or Neel Jani. Dave Blaney: 10th Top 5 in 100th start (3rd) Carl Edwards: will win the Busch Championship (taking it from a deserving driver like Hamilton Jr., Huffman, or Mike Wallace) :-: Bobby Hamilton Jr.: first Top 10 since IRP in 2004 (9th) Richard Johns: debut (34th) David Reutimann: career best finish (2nd) Brett Rowe: great finish (22nd) Regan Smith: first Top 5 (5th) 7. He couldn't win without being the big fish in the small pond or without NASCAR giving it to him, so he ran the Busch Series. I'm glad Carl won this race if for no other reason than it meant Toyota didn't. 8. Marcos Ambrose scored his highest starting position in the Busch Series (2nd) and his highest starting spot in any NASCAR race since his pole at the Kentucky truck race last year. Mike Harmon made his first Busch start since Nashville exactly 2 years ago 11. hendrickhater8 posted: 04.13.2007 - 6:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "It was the same bullshit last year with Harvick. The real reason you're glad Carl won is because he drives for Roush Racing, which is the team you love more than life itself. And please get over the Toyota bashing. If you have to jump on one bandwagon, why pick that one? 12. The Real Thomas posted: 04.23.2007 - 3:46 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Where did I say that the Harvick wins were gifts? And by the way, what's up with your screen name. Also, I'm not on a Toyota-hating "bandwagon", I simply don't like them. 13. Everyone is so pissed that Edwards won (as am i) but you all (or alot of you) say but its ok cuz if he hadnt won a toyota would have, why dont you rednecks stop bitchin and accept the fact that not every little thing in this world and sport has to be 100% all american 14. I never minded seeing the Nemecheks or Wallaces run Busch, the issue is when Childress or Roush decide to invest in the series as if it were F1 and they put their Cup guys in there. Trust me, it will at least get better once they stop giving points to the top 35 Cup guys. That is if the series doesn't end first. 17. The schedule used to be this way as to prevent a Cup regular from winning a title, but not anymore. NASCAR is joke, their are almost religious zealots, and the sport will never be mainstream. 18. Just ran out of sponsership I suppose 20. RaceFanX posted: 06.15.2014 - 11:19 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Cicci did run out of sponsorship and this was his team's final race. A full season deal with a sponsor attached for ARCA racer Brian Conz to drive his car fell apart before the season started due to the sponsor not paying and the #34 was never able to put together another deal for 2007. 21.
