He slid on his roof for a while until he barrell-rolled 7 times and the car caught fire. Thankfully, Kyle was uninjured. 7. biffle16 posted: 04.29.2007 - 4:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (7) Carl did it! He has finished in the top-ten in all of the first ten races this season. Kevin didn't do that, but Carl did, because he's a better driver, and a bigger man. Great win for Bobby Labonte. :) 8. Now notice Morgan Shepherd's reason for parking his car after 2 laps: "handling". Then again, he is 65 and a veteran of the sport, so I guess he's entitled to start-and-park. I hope I go that fast when I'm that old. Great job Bobby Labonte! Awesome finish! 11. Tony Stewart hates losing, but there was no way to fake how glad he was to beaten by Labonte. Cool move, clean move, and his first Busch win in nearly a decade! Brad Coleman is going to win soon. At 19 he's proven he can run in the Top 10 on a road course, and he's figured out restrictor plate racing. And someone PLEASE put Danny O'Quinn Jr. in a full time Busch ride! He deserves it! Hamilton Jr., Ambrose, Mike Wallace, Smith, Leicht, Leffler, Huffman, Steve Wallace, Krisiloff, and Wood are the Top 10 Busch regulars in the standings. 16. biffle16 posted: 05.01.2007 - 9:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (3) OK, I get it. The Buschwackers have talent. Look at some of the Busch only drivers. Jason Leffler, Bobby Hamilton Jr., Brent Sherman, Eric McClure, Scott Wimmer, etc. They used to be Cup Drivers, but now they're Busch drivers. Why? BECAUSE THEY SUCK!!! So I don't want to hear any more of this "Oh, the cup drivers are winning because they have better cars and more experience." B.S.! They're winning because they're good, and Leffler, Hamilton, and Sherman aren't! 21. biffle16 posted: 05.07.2007 - 2:02 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) EXACTLY!!! The inaugural running in 1992 was pretty tame as well with only one car wrecking out of the event. 24. hyltonfan58 posted: 05.12.2007 - 4:36 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Finally, someone with a brain. Thank you for agreeing with me, biffle16! Now, if only I could get you to like Kevin Harvick. He's a fantastic driver. (And yes, so is Biffle.) Oh, I suppose I'm just a little prejudicial towards the Childress camp, seeing as how they finally gave my guy a half decent car to run Cup. 25. biffle16 posted: 05.13.2007 - 2:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thanx guys. Right. I should be lectured on maturity who laughs at another driver running out of fuel. :-: How old are you anyway, 12? 27. Rusty posted: 07.14.2007 - 7:03 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Look at what buschwacking is doing to the Busch Series, only 41-43 cars show up for a race, and atleast 5 teams show up run 2 laps and go to the garage and collect their paycheck. The Busch Series isn't meant to be a series for cup drivers to do for fun on saturdays. I have no problem with letting them run but we have 20 or so of them show up to every companion race, that is just plain wrong.... 28. Mr. Big posted: 09.11.2007 - 2:58 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) True, very true. I've fallen asleep during Busch races this year due to a combination of Buschwreckers and ESPN's sucktacular coverage. 29. hyltonfan58 posted: 02.13.2008 - 2:19 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Face facts, if the cup drivers don't show up, there's no money in the Busch (now Nationwide) Series. All those good car and race sponsors go down the tubes. And where did this idea come from that this series is development for the Cup series. Horse Puckey! It's just a seperate series that runs on different tracks and has different cars. If a guy from another series (Cup, Truck, ARCA Re/Max, etc.) wants to run it, fine and dandy I say! 30. WillG_46 posted: 04.15.2008 - 9:59 pm Rate this comment: (1) (1) hyltonfan58, that's complete rubbish. This is supposed to be a series for up and coming drivers to show their talent, not a playground where the Cup drivers are the bully and the NWS drivers are the victim. One reason the Cup drivers run better is because they have more experience and are running the best cars in the series, which are basically funded the same as the CUP teams. And there has always been money in the Busch Series, ever since it's inception in 1982. I'd much rather watch guys like Leffler and Coleman go at it instead of watching Harvick dominating this race, Kyle Busch dominating that race. I bet you have never heard of drivers such as Sam Ard, Jack Ingram, Tommy Ellis, Tommy Houston, Butch Lindley, and the Bown Brothers. Those guys were the poineers of this Series. I would rather watch them in a race by themselves over any of today's races. You're acting like this Buschwacking deal isn't anything to be worried about. Well I'll tell you what, sooner or later people are going to realize that they're watching the same exact guys winning two days in a row, and that it's happening every week. Then people are going to stop watching the NWS races because there's no need to watch a pointless cup practice, then sponsors are going to pull out because nobody is watching it because their products aren't getting sold, and then what's going to happen? You have a series with to teams, to sponsors, and no value whatsoever. 31. most posted: 04.22.2008 - 9:50 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I agree with the above comment, plus, how are we going to get more Harvicks and Edwards, where did they start out ( I Know, Edwards ran trucks). So if you want more stars of the future, they need to develop, not come from IndyCar! Also, Tony's 7th 2nd place finish in total at Talladega, wow! 32. 29PennzoilChevy09 posted: 01.17.2009 - 2:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Even with the crappy ABC coverage this was still one of the best Busch races of '07. 33. Stewart had a similar flyer the year before but didn't tumble. Also one of Ward Burton's races he ran quite some time. 35. joey2448 posted: 04.05.2011 - 6:33 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) I agree, the way ABC/ESPN called the final lap was so anticlimactic...it's gotten slightly better since then, but still the commentary was horrendous this day... 36. Despite the fact that most of the events have been won by Cup regulars, we've seen some people running up front that we're not that familiar with. And look at the points. We are seeing some guys we've not seen before coming up and challenging the Cup guys! We didn't see that pre-2010. And yes, I've heard of Sam Ard, Jack Ingram, Tommy Ellis, Tommy Houston, Butch Lindley, all though not the brothers you mentioned. But i doubt this series is going to collapse like you predict. Mark my words, as the economy goes more and more sour, driver from NSC will save their $$$ and stay in the top division. We'll see it really about 2012-2013-ish. 37.
