He was as high as 3rd but after a pit stop his car was too loose and he hit the wall in the turns and spun it around. Look for a big 2008 campaign from him. 4. How do you get new talent in the series, I ask?! 10. Edwards didn't have to beat anyone because none of the other Cup TEAMS raced a full schedule, and the ones that did beat him in owners points! So congrats to Carl on a well deserved, hard fought championship  13. Steve posted: 01.16.2008 - 8:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) NA$CAR need to define this championship. Is it a feeder series, or an entertainment league for Cup guys? Pure Busch Series (I ignore new sponsorship) teams will soon have to bail out and defect to ARCA, Hooters Pro Cup, or the Grand National Division. What Hendrick, Roush, Childress, Gibbs, etc are doing is like Ferrari fielding their own GP2 cars; it's an unfair advantage. 14. But at 65 and still racing and trying to qualify... legend!! 16. His 8th-place finish here in the season finale was his best effort of the season, but thanks to the part-timers' series domination Hamilton Jr. ended up 6th in points. 17. It'll always be the Busch Series to me lol. The other milestones Steven Leicht's last race driving for Yates Racing. Leicht won a race for that team. Also the last race for Yates Racing until 2009 with Paul Menard Last start for Bobby East Last start for Aric Almirola driving for Joe Gibbs Racing. Whats noteable about this is Almirola started the 20 car in place of Denny Hamlin at Milwaukee while he was in Sonoma qualifying for the Cup race. He was ordered out of the car so Denny could jump in and win the race. Almirola was given credit for the win because he started. Almirola never got to celebrate because he left. I can't say I blame him. That was a bad situation Last start for Rockwell Automation as a series sponsor. Won races with Hamlin, Mike Bliss, Jeff Green and Jeff Purvis Last start for Richard Johns Last start for Bobby Labonte driving for Kevin Harvick for which he won a race for at Talladega 18. It was an awkward divorce too, Aric ended the season running in Cup part time for DEI, as well as finishing out his contract here in the Busch Series for JGR. Last start for Tony Raines in competitive equipment. He had driven the #33 car long before it was under the ownership of Kevin Harvick Inc. Kevin was kind enough to put Raines in the #33 for 9 races this season, but Raines couldn't deliver that first career win. 20.
