Worst Race Yet. Nascar Calls it too early...5 good hours of racing
left...Rain May have Stopped. If Race would have went green, order would
have been as follows. Wimmer, Biffle, Edwards, Keller, S
Wallace..followed by lead pack. Great race for Kevin Lepage.

Great run for the Wallace's. Mike-10, Kenny-11 Steve-16..and David
Stremme-9th.
Steve made his way up to 14th..but was black flagged for passing on the
left side before the Green Flag. He dropped to 26th 1 lap down..but made
his way back onto the lead lap. Was up to 16th when the race was called.
He has a great shot at his first top 10 finish. I see that coming next
week at Nashville.
Great Runs for Keselowski and Bliss (who is the Nationwide Champ at this
point)

Yeah, at least some non Cup guys are up there in points, probably won't
stay that way but cool for now! Mike Bliss is making alot with nothing!

If I were Steve Wallace, I would quit right now. 0 for 57? I'm not
talking wins or even top 5s, I am talking top 10 finishes. Even David
Ragan quite possibly the worst Cup driver (he is NOT the worst Busch
driver at all), had 9 busch top 10s in 35 starts in 2007.

How did Mike Potter manage to earn more money than Kyle Busch, Kevin
Harvick, among numerous other drivers start-and-parking? Doesn't make
sense to me

They likely got a bonus for 2007 points (that they might have bought for
top 35). Cup drivers were ineligible for those.

@14 - that seems a little unlikely. I'm not sure that Nationwide even
had a points bonus system in '08, but it doesn't look like Davis would
have been eligible based on his points.

More likely it's due to contingency sponsors. In that era, before NASCAR
gobbled up all the sponsors, a team would get a payout for carrying a
sponsor's decal on the front fenders - the payouts weren't big, and
sometimes depended on finishing position or other parameters, but if a
team had enough stickers it could be a few thousand extra.

There's both. If it's something consistent that makes up for a lot, like
$27K vs. $20K, it's probably something rooted in things and stuff
