At least a Non-Cup regular wins a Nationwide race. Wimmer can drive a car, too bad he had Bill Davis equipment after Burton left. He still had some good runs in that car. Maybe if Childress would let him drive instead of Cup drivers all the time, he'd win more races. 2. Nuck Chorris posted: 03.23.2008 - 7:48 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great Job Scott!!! He had it coming for a long time, and it feels good to see a non-Cup driver win again 3. I can live without wrecks, but the racing wasnt very good either. Neverthless, Great JOb by Wimmer, good runs by Bires, Stremme, Gale, and Hamilton JR. SOMEONE GET STEPHEN LEICHT A FULL TIME RIDE! 4. Qualified 3rd, but could never seem to get the car right.Dropped a lap down but was still in top 20. He was then caught in the pits during a caution and lost 2 more laps. Hes having a better season then last year, something just always seems to go wrong for him. 5. b4il3y posted: 03.23.2008 - 1:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) SOMEONE GET STEPHEN LEICHT A FULL TIME RIDE! Agreed. :) He drove great for Yates and then got dumped because of money issues with the team. RCR should hire time to drive that car full time and show what he has. 6. I agree with b4il3y, Scott did an exceptional job in the 22 car, a car with ZERO manufacturer support and wasn't a week in week out contender to begin with. Just for the record, BDR's move of sacrificing 3 and 1/2 years for Toyota was one of the worst moves ever. And, yes!!!!! Get Stephen Leicht a full time ride. That is the problem with this series. 10 years ago he would have owners falling at his feet to give him a ride. Now it is all Cup guys. NASCAR really dropped the ball on this one. They have sacrificed the long time future of the sport for a few extra bucks on Saturday's. Yes, Cup drivers bring in more money in Saturday's races, but they are losing money on Sundays now because drivers can't develop. Why put a prospect in this series to race against Cup guys when you can just go ahead and put them in the Cup series? Look at this year's rookie class. Regan Smith, Franchitti, Hornish, Carpenteir, Villleneuve. We have no excitement of these guys cause we barely know them. the 2006 rookie class was the last good, anticipated classes for a while because they had people we got to know in the Busch series. Truex, Hamlin, Bowyer. We don't have this anymore. 7. Dodge posted: 03.24.2008 - 6:57 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) You know what is getting sickening guys. It's the media saying "Another bad break for Kyle Busch." No, because he has made every single Nationwide race he has run a bore except Bristol when he was stupid enough to go high on a car that was sliding high. Maybe if he wasn't all out all the time and drive 100% instead of 140% he wouldn't have these problems but I like it that he does because I can't stand Kyle Busch one bit. 8. Kyle Busch can't race worth a darn. He is so arrogant he refuses to listen to anyone, and it is costing him. He flat took himself out of that race. He also cost himself the Daytona 500 this year through impatience. He just had to try to slice through the field in 10 seconds flat. Good riddance. 9. They should of penalized him for running down there, I know its not illegal at any track except Daytona and Talladega, but it don't make sense. As what Larry the Cable guy says, "Its like wiping before you poop." Kyle still won that truck race at Atlanta though. 10. It was his first win on the tour in almost five years and his only one that came in RCR's Holiday Inn #29 instead of Bill Davis' #23. This was Wimmer's only win on the tour after he shifted back to the second-level series full-time after his NEXTEL Cup bid with Davis came to an end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
