At the end Kyle Busch, now turning 23, who had refused talking to Steve, ended up 3rd. 2. WallaceFan posted: 05.03.2008 - 9:53 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) 5th! Steven Wallace drives a great race to come home with his first career top 5. The wins will come for sure. On the last lap coming into turn 3 though, Steve got into the back of Kyle Busch, who then in return got him loose to take the spot back. Steve attempted to spin him after the flag, actually spinning David Ragan. Busch then went to Steves car, where Steve grabbed him by the helmet. 3. They exchanged sharp barbs when it was over. "I basically told him if you mess with a bull, you're going to get the horns, and then he wanted to grab my helmet, which is pretty childish," Busch said of his confrontation with Wallace at Wallace's car. "If he wants to play those games, he's going to get hurt." Wallace said he didn't know what Busch was saying during their confrontation. "He's just a little girl about it. I don't know. I think it's pretty bad when they call driver introductions and everybody in the grandstand boos you. He's a sore loser," he said. 4. But after a late caution Harvick, Bliss, and Edwards were the only leaders who did not pit. Really exciting race in my opinion. Morgan Shepherd finishes back to back races for the first time sine 1998(cup) and 1995(busch) thanks to tires donated to him by Tony Stewart and Matt Yocum. Great to see Hamlin win near his home town. 5. WallaceFan posted: 05.03.2008 - 9:57 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Brad Keselowski has been recenttly testing for Hass CNC racing in the #70 chevrolet. Hass is a satlite operation of Hendrick, which is who Keselowski drives for in Busch. (JR Motorsports, but basically Hendrick) He will drive the full busch season, but word is he could be in the Hass Car for the Coke600. Just thought id share that. 6. While Steve, was just chilled back, sorta laughing it off. Those Busch brothers may be good (especially Kyle, dont get me wrong he can drive) are a bunch of wimps. 7. YAY SHEPPY! 8. kb2 posted: 05.03.2008 - 1:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) kurt is not even close to being as deluded as kyle. kurt would just say true stuff in a mean spirited way ei; jimmy spencer=has been (mean and all, but when carefully observed, was sorta true or was spencer front running and a legit treat all the time), or tony stewart is fat (actually true). Mean while this latest kyle stuff was just bizzare stuff (when coming from him) about bulls, and horns, and big boys and all. 9. kb2 posted: 05.03.2008 - 1:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) while steve was technically initially to blame, I applaud him not letting kyle trying to show him up on national tv (while the confrontations are still entertaining and all and hopefully continue). 10. samfan08 posted: 05.03.2008 - 2:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yeah! Great job Steve. I think the last lap showed how far he's come in maturity(maybe not the helmet grab, but that's another story). Last year he would've gotten into the back of someone and not backed off. This year he taps him and goes. I think the post race stuff from both sides was uncalled for, but Kyle Busch took it way too far. If he even attempts to wreck anyone, then NASCAR needs to sit him down for a race. Great race all around for RWI, coming home 5th and 6th. And there were 4 non full time Cup drivers in the top 10. 11. He almost wrecked Kyle Busch and then turned around and wanted to spin him after the race??? not to mentiong grab his helmet after that? Nice way to play it off as no big deal after the fact though, punk. Grow up some before you try racing with the big boys. 13. Reminiscent of the 1979 Daytona 500 with Yarborough and the Allisons and the 1993 Daytona 500 with Kyle Petty and Bobby Hillin. On a side note, glad to see Harvick lose after dominating and Hamlin on finally winning at his home track. Oh yeah, first Busch/Nationwide race ever televised live, flag-to-flag on ESPN Classic and SPEED Channel. 14. Also 4wheel chicain gets his first top 5 but not without pissin off a shrub. But agian go Morgan!! 15. Baker | 05.03.08 - 4:27 pm Yeah sure, and Kyle Busch is a "perfect gentlemen",give me a break. Steve Wallace has talent,he proved it at Mexico City and here,so lay off him. 16. Mamorese posted: 05.04.2008 - 11:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The reason Steven slammed into the back of Busch was because Busch, being the idiot that he is, slammed on the brakes going into one after the checkers and brake-checked him. That what I've read at least. 17. arse posted: 05.05.2008 - 7:16 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Steve Wallace is a little punk. I have no clue why everyone on this site likes to defend him. Another person you could say that is living off his daddy's name is Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sorry, it's true. Here you have aguy that has shown that he has some talent, but lately never win. Don't even make excuses as to why he hasn't.Top 5's and 10's are good but he has yet to win a Sprint Cup Championship. I know it's tough at this level. 18. tooj117 posted: 05.05.2008 - 1:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 4th straight top-10 for Mike Bliss. Overall the race was exciting, plenty of side by side battles in the first half, and a very interesting finish with different strategies. Unfortunately, ESPN coverage had several blunders: reason for caution #1 was never shown, Reutimann/Hornish incident was shown only after the restart, and also no replays indicated why Cassill and Kahne got into the wall in their respective incidents. 24. That guy you called the loser, Steve, won 10 races that season, once for a weaker team Todd Braun Racing (he even managed to hold off the powerhouse car #20 of JGR, which won the Owners Championship that year) and finished second in the worst car he has ever driven (at Watkins Glen in the #92 car of Eddie D'Hondt). 25.
