Everybody would like it if you put your focus solely on Cup competition. Please give other people a chance to win Nationwide Series races. 2. Another great run for Mark Green. Brad Teague qualified the 52, but then Kevin Lepage was put into the car for the race. Great runs for Vickers (who was 2 laps down at one point), Reutimann, Cassill, and Bires. 3. WallaceFan posted: 07.12.2008 - 8:36 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bad day for the whole RWI organization. Steve had more of a dusk setup on his car, but because of the opening green flag run, and pit strategy, he ended up 2 laps down. After his first pit stop he was running with the leaders, almost contending for a lap back, but could never quite get it done. Bad day for Stremme too, just missed the setup today I guess. Anyways a 24th bad day is better than last years 34th bad day. 4. DaleSrFanForever posted: 07.12.2008 - 11:39 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Did anyone expect anything different? The only question is whether the 20 or the 18 will win. NASCAR has to do something about the horsepower advantage. It is ridiculous. Nationwide TV ratings have to be plummeting. 5. Nobody wants to see to dominant cup drivers winning week after week, especially the shrub. Don't care how many races he wins in how many series, or what talent he has, the guy is an idiot plain and simple, never a nice thing to say about anyone. So enjoy your race winnings Kyle, you sure aren't gonna sell many T-shirts or get many sponsorship deals because the fans hate you. And taking over truck and nationwide races is a good example of why. 6. DaleSrFanForever posted: 07.12.2008 - 12:44 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Tim Brewer: Best TV analyst ever!!! 7. They've already tied the record for most wins as a team at 13, they're going to absolutely demolish the record and it's just no fun anymore. 8. WallaceFan posted: 07.12.2008 - 6:37 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Nascar is finally going to check the dyno and try to even out the horsepower for the Chevys as well as everyone else. But yeah something needs to be done. As far as Gibbs in Busch, it's not the driver, it's the car. 9. But as usual once Kyle 'Rowdy' Busch got up front it was game over. Like Rusty said they're gonna shatter the record for most wins by a team by the end of the year. Still, good runs for Brad Keselowski, Landon Cassil, Mike Bliss, and Kelly Bires. Keselowski seems like the only Nationwide-only driver who can run with the Cup regulars. 11. He's led twice as much as anyone else so far. 13. hyltonfan58 posted: 07.15.2008 - 1:50 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another Kyle Busch victory. Sickening isn't it? Who's up for switching their loyalty to ARCA? 14. Robby Gordon was the owner and driver of the 55 car in this race. 16. pedantic old fool posted: 08.07.2010 - 12:49 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Unfortunately hyltonfan08 that is exactly why this web site isn't a great web site. It is riddled with errors which nobody is bothered to check or fix. A simple reconciliation with the owner points standing would have alliated this error 17. Where are you guys today, when Kyle Larson or Austin Dillon are running in this series in their 3rd full-time season? Oh wait, you're quiet because there's nothing wrong about it. They just need experience, right? Kyle also needed experience, because you're definitely not a veteran in your 4th full-time season in Cup. But all he got was a ton of hate and jealousy. You guys are terribly inconsistent, just like NASCAR in their decisions... 20. Paul posted: 03.19.2017 - 4:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kevin Lepage drove the No. 52 car after Brad Teague had driven it during practice and qualifying. Lepage was among the fastest of the drivers who failed to qualify, while Teague was the slowest driver all weekend prior to the change. Driver changes: DC | Brad Teague | 52 | Dale Jr's Whisky River / Paradise Bay | Jimmy Means | Chevrolet 21. Having trouble on how the 50 team qualified 34th of 50 cars and didn't make the show. 22. TTaylor944 posted: 10.28.2019 - 7:57 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The top-35 in owners points were guaranteed a starting position. From there the fastest seven cars outside the top-35 got in on speed, keeping the position in which they qualified. The 43rd spot went either to a past champion, provided they hadn't used all of their provisionals, or the next fastest car. 23. Mile501 posted: 10.28.2019 - 8:28 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @21, 22 - Actually, the Busch Series used a top-30 rule, which was essentially the same premise as Cup's top-35 rule, but with only the top 30 in owners points guaranteed starting positions and the other 12 or 13 (depending on whether the past champion's provisional was used) set by speed. For perhaps the most extreme example of this, check out the fall 2007 Talladega Cup race, where the 9th-fastest qualifier went home. During this time, a number of races were impound races, meaning cars could not be altered between qualifying and the race. It was supposed to be a cost-saving measure. But that rule really hurt the teams outside the top-35 who had to qualify on speed. So those teams ran qualifying setups while top-35 teams qualified in race setups, resulting in particularly odd-looking qualifying results at restrictor plate tracks. 24. I didn't realize the previous comment was on a Busch Series race. The top-30 rule was particularly interesting the first five races of its use as only 26 teams had run every race the year before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
