Great runs by Lagasse, McDowell, Gaughan, Kenny Hendrick and MORGAN SHEPHERD 13TH!!!!! Good Job! 3. DaleSrFanForever posted: 02.28.2009 - 10:27 pm Rate this comment: (2) (1) Da Biff!! Greg did a hell of a job holding Carl off on that last restart. Also, great job by rookies Justin Allgaier and Scott Lagasse. They didn't quite get the finishes, but they both ran a hell of a race. Overall though, this was a disaster of a race. A complete wreck fest. The average speed was almost EIGHTY MPH slower than the pole speed. I don't know what has happened to NASCAR. They just can't run side by side anymore. They either have to run single file like they do at California or wreck every ten laps like this race. Oh well, I'm sure the brains at NASCAR's R&D center for competition will find a solution for this. Wait, what's that? It is headed up by Brett Bodine? We're screwed!!! The highlight was S**** W****** spinning out under caution. That's not even the first time that has happened!!! Then he blamed it on Dale Jr. I'm not a Dale Jr apologist by any means, but that was The Son Of Rusty's fault. He didn't slow down enough. He later crashed out like he always does. Can Brad Keselowski's luck get any worse? He's been taken out on all three races. 4. raphael posted: 02.28.2009 - 11:13 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) GREAT LAS VEGAS ITS A CRASH ! ! Steve Wallace shouldn't have blamed Jr. I am not a Dale Jr apologist either. He didn't slow down enough. Great runs by Lagasse, Allgaier,McDowell, Gaughan, Kenny Hendrick, Wimmer, Kenny Wallace and Tony Raines. I guess McDowell is trying not to be the worst driver currently in Nascar. He also finished 14th at Daytona. I need to see that for a whole season in Nationwide before I change my mind about him being one of worst drivers currently in Nascar. 7. WallaceFan posted: 02.28.2009 - 11:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Steve crashed out? He was caught up in a wreck, not of his own doing. HE has bad luck. Keselowski? Has crashed out on HIS OWN in each race. At Daytona he smacked the wall on his own and took himself out of contention. And today he goes and wrecks twice in the first 20 some laps. First one not his fault, second, who else? Maybe you should stop being so bias towards Dale Earnhardt Jr and his drivers, but your just like the ESPN crew, riding Kes skinny little butt. 8. Bronco posted: 02.28.2009 - 11:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) This is how a Nationwide race should be, with regard to the finish. 5 Nationwide regulars in the top 10, out of which 4 are rookies and for McDowell and Lagasse, it's their first top 10. Not only that but positions 11th-20th were mostly underdog drivers. The finish was exciting too, I really thought Edwards had it but somehow Biffle fought him on the outside. I don't get why they didn't red flag the race after the Hamlin/Bliss crash, rather than running 10 caution laps and allowing it to be determined by fuel mileage. How bad of a start to the season has Brad Keselowski gotten? Currently his brother, Raines, Nemechek and even Shepherd are higher than him in points! 9. He is psychologically motivated on a subconscious level to wreck. He saw the side of Dale Jr.'s car, and realizing that this was a new way for him to wreck his car, the little voice in his head yelled, "Wreck! Wreck! Wreck!" Like a torpedo finding the battleship, his line of sight zoomed into the side of Dale Jr.'s car. 23. DaleSrFanForever posted: 03.02.2009 - 8:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) That sounds like as good of a theory as any. Whatever is going on, he just keeps wrecking. People can try to blame other drivers, but does he just have bad luck every other week? Seriously, when is this experiment going to end? And saying he has "improved" since '06 and '07 is like saying a broken back is an improvement over having AIDS. Think of it this way: If Rusty's Son crashes just once every month this year (and he isn't even close to being that good yet), then he has improved over last year. But guess what: HE IS STILL CRASHING ONCE A MONTH!!! That is awful! And this is his fourth year. Enough is enough. And now Rusty is talking about moving him up to THE CUP SERIES!!!! How delusional is he?? And here is the kicker: He isn't even fast!! It would be one thing if you could say "well, if he could just harness that speed". You can't say that!! 24. Jr DID take him out. Jr didn't appreciate that Steve passed him getting through the wreck, and I guess he felt like proving a point when he was getting his position back. Yes, by Jr's back bumper shot, you can realize that Steve Wallace didn't cause that by not letting off. Why? Because he WASN'T IN THE FRAME WHATSOEVER. He was side by side with Jr for the ENTIRE REPLAY. Then, Jr turns dead left, and the 66 goes spinning. Stop being so biased. Use some common sense. 27. DaleSrFanForever posted: 03.03.2009 - 12:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) First of all, I'm not biased. I have made the fact that I am unimpressed with Dale Jr known repeatedly, that I see him as talented but totally lacking focus, drive, determination, and maturity. But the replay shows Rusty's Boy was running way faster than Dale Jr after the caution came out. He didn't slow down enough. I'm sure Dale moved down, but that is because the caution came out and he assumed everyone behind him would slow down equally like is done EVERY SINGLE WEEK EVERY TIME THE CAUTION COMES OUT, and nobody would be there. Nobody SHOULD have been there. But The Driver Who Shall Not Be Named was there and he damaged his own car. That was 100% S****'s fault. After 90 stats he should have this down by now, but he still kepps finding new ways to wreck. And no, he IS NOT fast. He had led 45 total laps. FORTY FIVE!!! Even Michael Waltrip laughs at that number. And 32 of those came in one race at Bristol where he won the pole, led the first few laps, before eventually *gasp* crashing. He never runs up front. He has 2 Top 5s and 8 Top 10s, IN NINETY STARTS!! Even more damning is that he has been outperformed by David Stremme and Brendan Gaughan in equal equipment. Davis Stremme is well below average as a driver and Brendan is only there cause his Daddy is writing a check, kinda like Paul Menard. 28. He almost won the 2003 truck championship, and had a pretty decent rookie year in Cup - (I will never understand why he was released). He will win Nationwide ROTY for sure. 30. Kit posted: 03.05.2009 - 2:42 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) "How could you say Steve Wallace isn't even fast?" Because he usually wrecks before he gets his car up to speed. "I am unimpressed with Dale Jr known repeatedly, that I see him as talented but totally lacking focus, drive, determination, and maturity." This is the best description of Dale Jr. I have ever read. "Brendan is only there cause his Daddy is writing a check, kinda like Paul Menard." Yes, but Brendan Gaughan is the bizarro Paul Menard; Gaughan can actually win races and run up front. Gaughan actually belongs in a race car and makes his paycheck. 31. Kit posted: 03.05.2009 - 12:36 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "and had a pretty decent rookie year in Cup - (I will never understand why he was released)." He was running for a third-tier team. They usually have unrealistic expectations for their driver given the equipment. He might have been better off not taking the ride and focusing on a Truck championship. It just seems like now he has finally got his momentum back. 32. uh posted: 03.09.2009 - 3:59 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) you're seriously an idiot if you think (A.) Steve Wallace lost it on his own under Dale Jr. DID YOU NOT SEE IT BENT IN HIS FENDER? or (B.) it was caused by Steve Wallace not slowing enough. For the entire backstretch, Steve was not in frame from Jr's rear bumper. Why? Because he had actually passed Jr to avoid getting tagged by a car that slammed the wall, and was giving the spot back when he got turned. I actually like Jr. I'm just not completely biased against Steve Wallace, like a bunch of you are. COMMON SENSE. If you can't see this situation without your bias-googles, you shouldn't comment on any race ever. And WillG: The caution was out. Yes, when people have a car low, they generally stay high.
