Was nice seeing ESPN/ABC give his dad some air time. McMurray's time at Roush-Fenway is slip slidin' away. 2. Good runs by Keller, Lagasse Jr., Nemechek, and Kerry Earnhardt, Brain Keselowski, McDowell and Robert Richardson. 3. Ryan slams into Dale Jr and breaks his momentum, and David just cuts through on the outside and nips Ryan at the line. Very reminescent of the 1981 Talladega 500 where Ron Bounchard beat DW and Terry Labonte. The Kenseth flip was pretty wild, and totally unexpected. And I cannot believe that Dale Jr is now missing his pit stall in the Nationwide series, maybe they need to install one of those Dale Jr nav systems in his car. Better yet, hang a cold Budweiser off his pit sign, that will get his attention. Great runs for all the underdogs as well, to finish on the lead lap. 4. Kenseth flipped on lap 106 and Scott Lagasse takes over the lead for Rookie of The Year. 5. Clayton posted: 04.25.2009 - 8:34 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Great Job David!!!! My boy!! Something definately needs to be done about Dale Jr.Now he's missing his pit stall in the Nationwide series, for some one with his talent there's no excuse for mental errors like that.At least he "redeamed" himself with a Top5,but this is embarrassing. Clint Bowyer and Michael Waltrip get togather again with help from Moldy Bread.Even though Michael wasn't at fault for him to rip Bowyer likr he did is tastless....Clint has more talent in one finger than Waltrip in his whole body, and Michael's been doing this for nearly 30 years. 7. DaleSrFanForever posted: 04.25.2009 - 10:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great job David. That was a hell of a move at the end. Much like you guys, I can't believe Dale Jr missed his pit stall AGAIN!!! He has just completely lost his focus. It is almost like he doesn't want to be in NASCAR anymore. He has no emotion when he is being interviewed and makes many mind boggling mistakes on track. Glad to see Matt is OK. It looked for a second like his car would stop upside down and on fire, but luckily it flipped back over at the last second. "Even though Michael wasn't at fault for him to rip Bowyer likr he did is tastless....Clint has more talent in one finger than Waltrip in his whole body, and Michael's been doing this for nearly 30 years." Exactly. He said "Clint made a butt of himself at Bristol last year". If there is any expert in NASCAR when it comes to making a butt of themselves, it is Michael Waltrip. He has lost more NASCAR races, over 1,000 of them, than anyone else in history. He, much like Dale Jr, continues to make rookie mistakes well past their rookie years. He sped on pit road a week after crashing himself out of the Cup race. And he doesn't have a shred of talent. At least Clint is making the Chase and winning at tracks that actually require you to lift off the throttle every now and then. And while we're at it, can the announcers quit fawning over Mikey and Dale Jr as being "great drafters". They are both simply a product of DEI's restrictor plate dominance from 2001-2004. What has either of them done on the plate tracks since they left DEI? Nothing. 8. Bronco posted: 04.25.2009 - 10:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 14&88Fan I believe it was the other way around, Bowyer ripped Waltrip because Waltrip got into him, although it's wasn't Waltrip's fault. But even if Waltrip did rip him it was completely justified after Bowyer's radio remarks during last year's Sharpie 500. Good to see underdog Tony Raines get some TV time as well. ESPN should never have interviewed Shrub, he was a total ass to poor Dave Burns. I wanted to see Newman/Dale Jr interviews. 9. Dodge posted: 04.26.2009 - 6:36 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I disagree. Clint has NO business bad-mouthing Mikey until he sees a replay. This incident is so like the Bristol incident last year in Cup. An over-rated driver like Casey Mears AND Joey Logano just flat run over him. Joey is even worse, cause in the drivers meeting they say "No bump-drafting in the corner" and while they are getting off the corner, he hits him like Mikey said "In he butt" 13. About 15 seconds later the power surged once and then went out completely and did not come back on till 10pm. I didn't now who won until about 5 minutes ago. Congrats to David and his first win. 14. I heard Clint's remarks on Micheal and like Bristol last year, they were made out of frustration and he hadn't seen a replay when he made 'em.Still,Mikey makes it seem like no one is allowed to criticize him even when he is at fault...talk about ego. Bronco you're right about Shrub,he didn't even care that he wrecked Justin Allgaier and Bobby Gerhart(who had to be helped out of his car),at least Logano apologized for spinning Waltrip. 16. Erik Darnell was already scheduled to run his first race of 09. 22. Bronco posted: 04.29.2009 - 1:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Erik is really gettting screwed, in my opinion. The guy doesn't have a truck series ride because his sponsor moved up to the Nationwide series. So he basically hasn't driven anything since Homestead last year. I will never understand why they don't put him full time in the 6 and let Kenseth, Biffle and Ragan split the 16. Maybe that makes too much sense. 23. He has gone through so many developmental drivers...very very slowly he brings them along, and then they end up without a ride. Hopefully this wont be the case for Darnell. 25. jp posted: 05.10.2009 - 4:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) It was SwearFest '09 when I saw Kenseth flip. Micheal Waltrip has 4 wins, 0 championships, and two handed-to-him *unintentionally* 500 wins. And Petty wasn't always rookie-like screwing up. Michael was. Don't try to compare the two of them. 30.
