It would have lengthened it right back out. John Wrecks Weekly wrecks again. Rusty's Son gets dumped then acts like a 4 year old. He got many laps of penalties for driving up to Lagasse then flipping off his crew. This is the same guy who has wrecked himself and others so many times it is pathetic. He has invented ways to wreck. He has wrecked himself under caution and in the garage area. He has no right to be mad at anybody for wrecking him. Brendan Gaughn forgot how to turn in this race. 2. 18fan posted: 07.19.2009 - 11:06 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) What is it about Reed Sorenson and Gateway. He and Brad Keselowski tied for the new track record in qualifying, but since the 88 is higher in owner's points than the 32. Sorenson runs like crap in Cup, enters one Nationwide race a year, this one, and finishes in the top 5. Some tracks just fit some drivers. This is the best example. Harvick should have won this race, but stretched his fuel on the second to last run, ran out of gas with 29 laps to go, and lost 2 laps while trying to get his car started, like Ryan Newman at New Hampshire. Happy that Kyle won on my birthday. 3. New14&88 Fan posted: 07.19.2009 - 11:17 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another race won by Kyle Busch...yawn. Harvick looked like he had this one in the bag till he ran out of gas, fuel mileage also bit Justin Allgaier (he didn't run out) but he still finished in the Top-15. 4. Driving up to Lagasse...OK...but dont get the crew involved. The part i don't agree with you on is how you continue to bring up wrecks from the past, many of which you over exagerate. Its 2009, not 2007, let it go. 5. WallaceFan posted: 07.19.2009 - 11:28 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Decent race i guess, great runs for Sorenson and alot of young guys. Coleman, Leichy ANNETT, Darnell and Allgaier all did great. Good efforts to Raines, Howard, and Clements too. I half came into this race expecting Steve to wreck out, he has had terrible luck at his hometown track. Extra frustrating today as he had driven up to 10th. US Fidelis is stationed in the area and had alot of employees in the area so he wanted to put on a show for them. Was pretty mad after the wreck as you could guess. 6. Dale Jr wrecked him under caution at Vegas if that's what you are referring to. Kid's maturing a lot. Unfortunately he lost his cool last night, but he didn't intentionally damage Lagasse's car (as much as I would've enjoyed watching something like that taking place). -BradKese88Fan 7. Seventh race in a row that Kyle Busch has finished in the top 2. Carl Edwards has finished in the top 6 in five consecutive races yet still lost ground in the points race. Kevin Harvick becomes the third driver in Busch/Nationwide Series history to lead 6,000 laps in his career, according to ESPN. The other two drivers are Mark Martin and Kyle Busch. 8. Harvick has no luck whatsoever, he should have won this race. Scott Lagasse wrecked Steve, and then Steve's teammate put him in the wall, before putting himself in the wall later on. Amazing race for Sorenson, making his only start of 2009. I was pulling for him at the end. First time Jason Leffler finished off the lead lap since his 5 lap penalty in the season opener. And how about Tony Raines finishing 12th, and on the lead lap! Great to see him making the most of his full time ride. 10. Dale Jr wrecked him under caution at Vegas if that's what you are referring to." First of all I disagree about it being Jr's fault at Vegas. You know me, I'm very hard on Jr for his many bone headed mistakes, but that wasn't one of them. Secondly, he wrecked under caution at Montreal (or maybe it was Mexico) while exiting the pits. "Kid's maturing a lot." How? He gets wrecked at Daytona and throws a water bottle at Leffler. then Lagasse wrecks him and he drives up to him under caution and crowds him then flips off his crew. This from the same guy who holds the record for most sheet metal torn up in a 3 year period. That is not maturity. Besides, when he doesn't wreck he runs like crap, getting lapped. But I am glad you are a Brad Keselowski fan. 11. I guess since he won a Cup race he is on NA$CAR's good side, he sure acts like it anyway. Also, if NA$CAR was FAIR they would BAN Brandon Gaughan from racing, but since he drives for Rusty Wallace and Wallace works for E$PN (which has NA$CAR right in their back pocket) nothing will be done about his blatantly obvious dumping of Scott Lagasse. 12. You are clearly not watching the same races the rest of us are. When Steven hasnt been wrecked (5 accidents this year, 3 times someone else, 2 times tires) he has ran great. He has 5 top 5s. All but 2 of his other finishes are Top 15. The worst being 16,and 17. When he hasnt been wrecked, he runs consistently well. 16. Anonymous posted: 07.19.2009 - 10:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @07.19.09 - 6:34 pm , Steve doesn't have a top 5 this year, unlike your claims. 17. DaleSrFanForever posted: 07.19.2009 - 11:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "You are clearly not watching the same races the rest of us are." You are right. I am clearly not watching the same races or reading the same stats. According to this site, he has a goose egg in the Top 5 column. It says he has 5 top TEN finishes in 19 races, while other Nationwide only drivers with non affiliated teams like Mike Bliss and Jason "There is a car in front of me, I need to wreck it" Leffler have 4 and 5 Top 5's respectively. "luckily for us, we're on a site that gives stats which proves that statement wrong" Man, I must be living in an alternate universe. According to my reading ability, I see he has 9 lead lap finishes in 19 starts. That is less than half the races on the lead lap by my calculations. Meanwhile Bliss and Leffler have 13 and 17 respectively. At least that's how I interpreted it. And here are my qualifications for reading. And I am being 100% serious here. On Wednesday of this week I passed a tenth grade level reading exam. Keep in mind that I am a 25 year old COLLEGE graduate, and I was in 10th grade 10 years ago, they said I had to take it to get into a class at my local community college. I couldn't believe it. But I got every question right. I feel so smart. 18. DaleSrFanForever posted: 07.20.2009 - 11:47 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) HA! His nickname is "Wrecker". NASCAR's tie breaking procedure is more likely than not in their rule book, as it is for every local track and traveling series in the country. How you can say Keselowski is big headed is beyond me. I've seen him rise up through the ranks since he was 16 years old racing Factory Stocks at the Dixie Motor Speedway, and big headed is something he has never been. He is simply a talented driver who earned the pole. Sorry you don't like that. 23. Hey genius, that WAS my point. I was comparing Wrecker to other non affiliated teams. It is a fair comparison. It's not like I'm comparing him to Joey Logano or Justin Allgaier or Brad Keselowski in the Busch Series. 25. He is not a novice. And lots of people have won in the Nationwide Series at that age or younger. He sucks! I win. 27. He hasn't done jack shit in Cup, so how is he deserving to win the pole in a lower series against inferior teams? "NASCAR's tie breaking procedure is more likely than not in their rule book, as it is for every local track and traveling series in the country." Yep. It's only fair that in the event that two drivers get the same times in qualifying, the one who is higher in owner points gets the higher spot. So NASCAR did not "give" a pole to Brad, unlike the ridiculous claim earlier. "How you can say Keselowski is big headed is beyond me. I've seen him rise up through the ranks since he was 16 years old racing Factory Stocks at the Dixie Motor Speedway, and big headed is something he has never been." From what I've seen out of Brad, he has nothing but a good attitude. Even when he would be in the right to throw a fit (which most of the spoiled, pampered assholes in Cup do), he handles it with maturity and class. I've been a fan of his since 2006, and I've never seen a big headed attitude out of him. "He is simply a talented driver who earned the pole. Sorry you don't like that." I second that. 29.
