Sitting on the pole in his first Nationwide Race. That was unbelieveable! 2. 18fan posted: 10.04.2009 - 10:27 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I am Kyle fan, so it was heartbreaking for me to watch him lose, but that was a great move by Joey. He saw Kyle beat him off the corner on the high side, so Joey tried it and it worked for him. And Kyle didn't whine and say his car wasn't good enough to win. Parker Kligerman sits on the pole in his debut. He's going to be a star. Also did anybody notice how much ESPN over dramatized Joey winning. I have the first two races of 1993 on tape. In the Daytona 500, Rusty Wallace goes flying down the backstretch. He comes back the next week at Rockingham, about 10 times harder to drive than Kansas, in a race twice as long and dominates, and the TNN crew did not even mention the flip in victory lane. Yesterday, that's all they asked Joey. There was actually some good three wide racing mid pack. 3. Timmy Quivy posted: 10.04.2009 - 11:28 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Not a bad race actually. Well, it's a 1.5 mile track so it's all relative. But yeah, I've definitely seen worse. 4. Bronco posted: 10.04.2009 - 1:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great finish at the end. Shrub sets a record for most laps led in a single Nationwide season. He now has 6 runner up finishes to go with his 6 wins. 5. 18fan posted: 10.04.2009 - 1:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bronco, he has ten second place finishes this season. 6. " Starting to look like that unfortunately since you got all the Cup guys racing against kids that are fighting for their lives in cars that could easily be taken over by Cup Drivers. nascar really needs to limit cup drivers from competeing in Nationwide to like at least 10-15 races but if your willing to drive the whole schedule you really should just have own your team and race your own team and give some of the less unfortunate drivers like Brian Scott, Jason Leffler, Wimmer, Allgier, and even a Tony Raines some rides in Power-House teams 8. Out of the #96 HoF team's 4 top-10 finishes in the Cup Series, 2 of them belong to Tony. I definitely agree with rw, these Cup guys all need to stay in their own series and give these young guns an opportunity to let their presence be known. Brad Keselowski is just squeezing his way into that category; he is very fortunate to be doing as well as he is against all of these Cup drivers, and the fact that he would have 2 championships in a row if not for Cup guys convinces me he belongs in Cup, and I think he realizes how fortunate he has been to land a good ride and make it to Cup. 9. Great run for Steve at the end. Early in the race he was 28th 2laps down. Then coming to the last restart he had worked his way up to 10th, but after contact with another car (gilliland maybe) he got a tire rub and barely held on for 15th. Still great run. 10. This was one of the very last races that hadn't been on YouTube before, with this one uploaded, only six more remain, all either from 2009 or 1998. 18.
