Existing finish.

John Wes Townley wasn't at fault for crash his car this time. His car
was leaking oil before he crashed.

At least one of the start and park teams had their car crashed from the
09 leaking oil. All the money that the 73 got is now going for repairing
the car.

Matt Kenseth wrecked Wallace and Wallace paid him back on pit road.

Kyle easily could have punted Brad but said in his post race interview
that he couldn't see it in himself to spin him.

Great move by Brad and Kyle going from 5th and 7th to first and second
in the first turn on a restart.

3 races, 3 top 5s for Bliss in the 11 car.

Nationwide debut for Richard Boswell, Blake Koch, and Matt DiBenedetto.
Also first pole for Justin Allgaier.

I forgot to mention congratulations to Brad for winning race with him
getting an extra $75,000 dollars. Kyle wasn't happy after the race that
he didn't get the extra 75,000 dollars.

Hopefully Brad, will rattle some cages for wins in cup against drivers
like Jimmie Johnson next year.

I watched the replay on Espn. Matt Kenseth didn't wreck Steve Wallace.
Steve came down on Matt Menseth.

I am sure that kit and DaleSrFanForever saw the same thing with Steve
Wallace coming down on Matt.

Not to worry. Derrike Cope will park his car after 2 laps tomorrow and
he can use that $60K that he "earned" to fix up the 73.

Don't hold your breath. Brad will rattle cages next year for sure, just
not for wins. I think I can partly understand why NASCAR issued him a
warning at Kansas a few weeks ago, Brad seems to have become a pretty
rough driver. He just plowed into the back of Carl Edwards like he
wasn't even there and triggered another wreck. Sure he looked like a
hero because won the race, but I don't think he'll be able to pull
stunts like that for very long.

Steve Wallace looked like he was going to get his best ever finish, then
he forgot Kenseth was there and ended up wrecked, causing him to pretty
much lose any hope of getting 5th in points.

And Mike Bliss continues to kick ass in the 11 car. He will definitely
win next year when he gets to drive it. Finch is a moron, but it looks
like the 11 is better than the 1 anyway.

been in the #11, he has finished in the top-5. The #1 just keeps going

Scott Wimmer gives Curtis Key his best finsh as a Busch/Nationwide since
Tommy Ellis finished 6th at Rougemont in 1994.

Nice job by Scott Wimmer, getting his best finish of the year.

I'll echo the "What do you think now, James Finch?" declarations. I
might also add that Bliss, who has been forced to take start and park
rides on more than one occasion this season, is in contention for a top
five points finish, and is assured of a top ten finish. While it speaks
volumes about the talent and perserverance of Bliss, it also is a
damning indictment in regards to the state of the Nationwide Series. I
hate to beat a dead horse, but it's saddening to see this series be
reduced to a Cup drivers' playground.

Look at today's race for example. There were a few Cup drivers in the
race, but most of the drivers consisted of non-cup regulars (i.e. Bliss
and Gaughan) or young drivers getting more experience at a higher level
(DiBenedetto, Boswell) or continuing their development towards a Cup
ride (Allgaier). To me, this made the race much more interesting. This
was one of the few races that I actually sat down and watched (it
certainly helped that my football team was getting anihilated, but
that's besides the point). I always hear the excuse "we need the Cup
guys racing to sell tickets", but is this theory fallacious? I think so.
Perhaps I'm just rambling incoherently, but I did enjoy this race more
than others this year.

That's the major problem in regards to starting and parking, IMO.

Another great race, and more and more of Brad Keselowski running into
people. Some point this year Brad decided to run into guys, not sure
why, he was doing fine before.

Early in the race he spun Allgaier while in the top 10. Then as it was
said, he ran CLEAR into the back of Carl..ON THE STRAIGHTAWAY! Not even
in the turn. THat started about 5-10 car crash and ruined Carl's day.

Brad said he couldnt avoid him. Well messing with the top drivers in the
cup series, this guy will have quite the rap sheet by the time he goes
full time.

Brendan Gaughan ws leading by a good margin and would have won, had it
not been for a piece of paper which caused a caution. As Rusty said..A
PIECE OF PAPER. Cost him a win.

Great runs for Annett (regardless of the wreck), Leffler, Gaughan, and
Wimmer.

ONCE AGAIN...Steve was running great. Top 10 the entire day, as high as
3rd with 2 laps togo..and Kenseth gets into him. Couldnt beleive it,
Rusty said he would understand if he threw his helmet this time.

Well instead he ran into Kenseth in the pits....he got out of his car
and was held back by about...6 officials, who he tried to break away
from. Called to the hauler immidiatley. Cant blame him either.

I think the biggest issue is that it was Kenseth. A Cup driver, a part
time cup driver. He didnt have a chance for the win, and ended up
wrecking a regular who was having a great day. This is why cup drivers
belong in cup.

Eric McClure had a hard crash in turn 4 his car hit the wall head on he
was shaken up but ok and the race was red flaged for 10 minutes.

Mike,

I noticed the same out of Brad also. I don't think we seen the best out
of Brad yet.

Nascar needs more drivers that have Dale Earnhardt type of
aggressiveness. Brad is a driver that I would like to see how he
develops in cup with Penske.

Penske is getting a driver that has the capabilities of being a very or
great great driver in the cup series. Brad's driving style can lead into
a good amount of wins. Stewart is making a huge mistake going after
Harvick for the 2011 season instead of getting Brad.

No we don't. We already have Kryle Busch and Tony Stewart. Dale Sr.'s
weakness was his aggression at times. He gotten further with talent than
aggression.

Out of Dale's 76 wins, 20 or 30 were from aggression. The rest were
sheer talent.

Even if it is true Finch is still a fool for releasing Bliss. It's one
thing to hire someone else immediately to get the team back on track.
It's another to fire your regular driver and put no less than 6 drivers
(Newman, Truex, Sorenson, Papis, Gilliland, Cassill) in the car. How
does Finch ever expect his team to win again when they have a new driver
each week? Idiot.

You forgot that Kyle Busch may be leaving Nascar after 2010 and Brad
Keslowski would be needed as an Dale Earnhardt type aggressive driver.

he USF1 team still wants Kyle Busch to race F1 races for them.

Remember Kyle Busch in the past said that he would consider F1 to race
in for 3 years if he wins a Nascar Championship and the last time I
check a Nationwide Championship is considered a Nascar Championship.

Yeah, somebody really needs to teach him a lesson since he is kicking
butt and winning races, right? That is totally ruining NASCAR... sure,
he is over-agressive but he's a good enough driver that with time, he
will develop a better style. I wouldn't be opposed to him staying the
way he is now though, because I like it.

And do I even need to begin with the lucking into wins comment? At Iowa,
he had OLDER tires than Kyle Busch driving his high-horsepowered Gibbs
Toyota, and flat-out beat him for that win.

Says who? I know he's flirting with running some F1 races but I wouldn't
think he would have any intention of leaving NASCAR entirely.

Unless he's that big of a bitch that he'll give up because he can't win

I don't think Brad K is overly aggressive. He has the right level of
aggressiveness he needs for someone trying to break into the sport

Wrecker ram Kenseth on pit road. He might be more childish than the

get "turned" by Matt Kenseth on YouTube, and that was totally Wrecker's
fault. Matt was under him and The Son of the Nine Time Bristol Winner
turned down on him. He switched lanees in the middle of the corner in
the middle of a pack of cars. That is a big no-no. For somebody who is
"improving", he should know better. then, to act out afterwards is

Keselowski is tied with Carl Edwards for 3rd in wins this year with 4,
and is only 42 points behind Carl for 2nd in the standings. Nationwide
regulars have won only 5 races this year, Brad's won 4 of them. But you
could argue that Brad is practically a Cup driver already, he could've
been driving the 12 Penske Cup car this season.

But this is the 2nd time that Keselowski has ruined what could've been a
great race for Allgaier, especially after Allgaier got his first career
pole. I like the both of them but Brad needs to stay away from Justin. >:-(

Jason Leffler had his first top five in the last 11 races.

Bliss' 3rd top five in 3 starts has him within a shot of Justin Allgaier
for 5th in the standings, just 59 points back.

Steven Wallace is worth talking about since he had a shot at his best
career finish and taking 5th in points before Kenseth wrecked him.
Steven will probably get penalized for the pit road contact tomorrow.

Gaughan had his first top five in the last 18 races and is just 10
points behind Allgaier for ROTY. But the end-of-year panel could still
give Allgaier an edge even if Gaughan just beats him since Gaughan's a
former full time Cup driver. That's why John Andretti didn't win ROTY in
2006.

Good runs by Wimmer, Stephen Leicht and especially last year's ROTY
Landon Cassill who made his first start of 2009 and finished in the top ten.

Matt DiBenedetto qualified 4th and finished 14th in his Nationwide
debut. Boswell started 3rd and finished 23rd in his.

Michael Annett overtook Michael McDowell for 10th in the standings;
Annett finished 16th while McDowell finished 21st. But McDowell's been
forced to S&P a couple times and that's where Annett's been able to make
up ground.

With only 3 races to go, Kyle Busch has a good shot at clinching the
championship at Phoenix. In fact all of Cup, Nationwide and Trucks stand
the chance of having their championships clinched before Homestead
although Cup has to go through Talledega.

Cup Series champion and Brad Keselowksi only won this race because he
caused a crash that allowed him to take advantage of fresh tires after
NASCAR had already taken the race away from Brendan Gaughan.

I totally agree! To me, he has done nothing worth talking about. He was
good in ARCA, but that's it. If it weren't Rusty owning the team, he
would have probably been canned in 2006 after all those bad races he had.

David Stremme lapped the field in an ARCA race in one of Rusty's cars

I agree with you 18fan. And I think I now understand a bit Hamlin's
comments at Dover and NASCAR's warning at Kansas. Brad has done plenty
of questionable things on the track this year. At Daytona he ran Dale Jr
and Kenseth off pit road and into the grass. At Talladega he blocked
Dale Jr down the backstretch and took them both on the apron for no
reason. At Bristol he cut down his future teammate's tire (Justin). Then
there was this race where he rams Carl down the backstretch. All I'm
saying is, he's not going to make many friends driving like that.

I just find it funny that if someone like JPM were to do stuff like
this, he would be labelled as having a "dumb mentality" and that he
would have "no future in the sport." Yet Brad is supposedly a "future star."

Oh yeah and the caution for a wad of paper when Brendan was leading was
pure bullshit. I found it funny how Marty Reid was saying that it
couldn't be the cause for the caution and yet it was.

Roush has switched the 60 and 6 crew chiefs for the last 3 races and for
2010; Dan Stillman will move over to the 6 while Mike Kelley moves over
to the 60.

Carl Edwards has four wins this year and is 2nd in the championship, 215
points behind Kyle. The 6 is 9th in owners points and has two wins with
David Ragan.

Failing to finish half his races in Nationwide, completing only 70% of
the laps, and 2 top fives in 23 ARCA starts just screams full time

Well, RC not only hired Casey Mears in last year's off season, but gave
him Clint Bowyer's entire crew. And he is forcing Kevin Harvick to honor
his contract despite the fact that Kevin REALLY doesn't want to be there
and his best days seem to be well behind him in Cup. So his decision
making skills have dropped dramatically. Actually they haven't been
great for a while. From moving Skinner into the brand new #31 team
straight from the Truck Series, to hiring Robby Gordon, to giving Johnny
Sauter a Cup ride, it has rarely been pretty. Yes he discovered a true
talent in Clint Bowyer and resurrected Jeff Burton's career, but it has
been mostly bad lately.

But still: John Wrecks Weekly? Zaxby's must be paying a hell of a lot.

Darrell, Kryle Busch is just a douchebag, not an asshole. I don't think
anyone who'll burst into tears because he came in second in a Cup race
can be considered an asshole.

Besides, Busch's antics sure as hell didn't get him a championship this
year. As far as Bliss goes, if he really is an asshole, his team
probably just got tired of it. If they have to put up with an
anti-social personality day in and day out, winning here and there isn't
worth it. They can't stand behind a driver they don't like as a team to
celebrate.

I'm not entirely convinced that Childress ever really had excellent
decision making skills as a Cup owner. Look at it this way: when Dale
Earnhardt drove for him, they were pretty much a partnership. Childress
pretty just did the books for the team. Ever since Dale's death, RCR has
been more or less on a decline.

Why couldn't he hire Bobby Labonte instead of Casey Mears? If Mears
can't win in a car much better than the ones Childress fields, how can
Childress expect Mears to do anything for him?

Why do people keep asking why RCR didn't sign Bobby Labonte? All you can
do is offer a guy a contract, which they did. You can't make him sign
it. I think RCR should of promoted Stephen Leicht or Scott Wimmer, but
still you're not going to get much better than Casey Mears to drive your
car when it's obvious you're looking for a seat warmer.

Last race for Memphis. Although the schedule came out a month or two
ago, Dover Motorsports, who owned MMP, has decided to shut down the
track due to the people that were supposed to buy the track couldn't get
funding. This race date will go to Gateway. The truck event will go to
Nashville, when the Nationwide series races on Easter Eve, trucks will
race on Friday.

While it it never good to see a short track removed, this track was a
mess. The Trucks would put on decent races, but the Nationwide races

That's true, I never even thought of that. Getting the chance to drive
Musgrave's Truck and almost winning before getting spun out at this
track is what put him on his path. It is fitting.

And BTW, for everyone that complains about Brad's rough driving, at
least he can take it when it is dished out to him. Remember his
interview after Kvapil (usually a clean racer) dumped him and cost him
that win? He isn't like Kyle Busch, knocking the hell out of people,
then whining like a little girl when he gets bumped, even if it was
mostly his fault (blaming Stewart after the big Daytona crash) or when
they don't even touch him (Ambrose in the NWide Glen race).

No, I berated Busch and Hamlin for berating their team every time
something goes wrong (except when Coach Joe Gibbs is on the scene like
at Talladega) and for giving up when their cars aren't right (Busch at
Chicago, Hamlin at the Spring Richmond race) and getting mad when people
won't just roll over and pass them. Just generally acting like divas.

If giving the finger is a sign of immaturity, then there has never been
a mature driver in NASCAR history. I still love watching him flip off
Kurt Busch in his last ever race. That was a sign of things to come.

Mark Day makes his first Busch Series race since Nashville 2001,
qualifies a career best 9th place (his only top 20 qualifying effort in
13 career starts), and falls out of the race on lap 86 from overheating.

Willie Allen also had a great qualifying effort, qualifying in 8th
place, but pulled into the garage after just three laps, driving
K-Automotive Motorsports' start-and-park entry.

accommodate the Cup drivers who were pulling double-duty between Memphis
and Martinsville. Here's a list of those drivers:

#60 - Auggie Vidovich (sub for Carl Edwards)
