Good runs by Brendan Gaughan,Reed Sorenson, Steve Wallace, Scott Wimmer, Justin Allgaier, Scott Riggs and Colin Braun. I wonder what nickname will Willy on Wheels will give Brian Ickler after Ickler's being in two cautions. 3. I feel bad for Matt DiBenedetto, having to watch a cup guy fly over to a stand alone event and win in a car he should've been driving. 7. If Reed had a full-time ride he'd challenge Allgaier and Edwards in top-4 of the standings. 8. 12345Dude posted: 06.13.2010 - 5:49 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Things look a little better for the nationwide regulars. Bliss was looking like he was going to win. And then I was sure Brendan Gaughan was going to win. Reed Sorenson was doing really good earlier also. I have my fingers crossed these guys can win atleast a race. It's nice to see Brendan so fired up. I think he wants to win, and wants to win now. I think that's the one advantage these nationwide regulars have. This is a "fun race" for the cup guys. There doing this for fun. These nationwide regulars want to WIN. at all costs. 9. rw posted: 06.13.2010 - 6:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Not a huge Logano fan, but really increible feat he has accomplished at Kentucky! GO GO BRAD WIN THE N-WIDE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! 10. 18fan posted: 06.13.2010 - 6:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The Boudreaux's Butt Paste car for Jeremy Clements! LOL. 11. Anonymous posted: 06.13.2010 - 10:51 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Yes RLewis... Matt DiBenedetto practiced the 20 car 5th quickest and had to hand it over to Joey. Why?? Let Matt get his 7 races in and Max Gresham can run one or two as well. But no, it's much more interesting to see Logano win three in a row and listen to ESPN whack off to it like it's some kind of accomplishment that he beat two other Cup guys. 12. Bronco posted: 06.14.2010 - 1:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) How about Jeremy Clements finishing 12th? Outstanding run for him. 2nd straight week that Cup drivers finish 1-2-3 in a standalone Nationwide race. 13. Brad Keselowski 1696 Justin Allgaier 1427 Reed Sorenson 1406 Carl Edwards 1379 14. DaleSrFanForever posted: 06.15.2010 - 1:10 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) JOEY LOGANO MAKES HISTORY!!!!! Somebody hand me a bucket please, I'm gonna puke. Is it an accomplishment to be proud of? Yes. Do I dislike Joey? No. But give me a break on the "history" part of it. I really love the part when they kept saying over and over "Mark Martin came close once, but even he couldn't do it!". Mark Martin has won 3 events in a row from the pole. He did it at Watkins Glen IN THE CUP SERIES!!! 15. Talon64 posted: 06.15.2010 - 5:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "Mark Martin has won 3 events in a row from the pole. He did it at Watkins Glen IN THE CUP SERIES!!!" He's one of only 5 drivers to win 3 in a row from pole at the same track in Cup, and it was the 6th time it had ever been done: Richard Petty 1964-66 Nashville Darrell Waltrip 1981-82 Bristol 1981-82 North Wilkesboro Herb Thomas 1952-53 North Wilkesboro Bobby Isaac 1969-70 Hickory Speedway (4 in a row from pole) 16. Now don't get your hopes up. But nascar is looking into changing the way cup drivers race in the nationwide series. And maybe how many races they can race. The same with how the Sprint Cup champion is determined. I have heard this on Jayski and some other racing sites!!! 20. Talon64 posted: 06.17.2010 - 5:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) One idea I heard was about limiting the amount of points full time Cup drivers can score in the Nationwide series. I don't know how that would work, someone runs enough Cup races during the season that they stop awarding them NNS points? Having REAL Nationwide champions again would be a huge step forward, even if Cup guys still raced a lot in order to get their teams the owners championship. 21. RCRandPenskeGuy posted: 06.18.2010 - 3:54 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I think they should limit the amount of Nationwide races that a Cup regular can run to about half the schedule, that way they can't have a shot at winning the championship. 22. DaleSrFanForever posted: 06.18.2010 - 4:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I really hope this happens. 23. It would be like it was in the 90's-2005 which sucked also aside from 2003. 25. kevin posted: 11.11.2011 - 10:01 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #16-LOL 26. He's start-n-parked in all but 3 races since this event. 30. Here's a list of those drivers: #20 - Matt DiBenedetto (sub for Joey Logano) #22 - Parker Kligerman (sub for Brad Keselowski) #60 - Erik Darnell (sub for Carl Edwards) #98 - Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. (sub for Paul Menard) [Stenhouse had been benched in favor of Brian Ickler in the #6 car for this race.] None of the four substitute drivers turned a lap at Kentucky, as the full-time Cup drivers were able to make it to the track for both practice sessions and the qualifying session. 31.
