It's also nice of the biggest douche in NASCAR to mock the people who paid to see the race as well. Top class driver you got there! 11. DaleSrFanForever posted: 08.20.2010 - 11:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) How 'bout Brad's interview? Perfect. Completely stoic. He's not gonna let these divas get to him. He's not gonna pitch a fit, insult anyone, cause a pit road melee, or generally cry bloody murder. He takes it as well as he gives it. Kyle complained a lot more about this than Brad, and he is the one who dumped Brad then admitted it (with his voice craking about 15 times). Most other drivers act like they've been violated when simply touched or raced hard. Last week Joey Logano WRECKS Newman, then whines after the race for a solid 10 minutes about Ryan. THAT is why we have taken to Brad so well. And Kryle, you can mock us all you want, but at the end of the season when you, the most talented driver in NASCAR in elite equipment, lose the championship yet again, we'll be the ones laughing our asses off at you. Hmmmmm, June runs a race with Tony Sr on the pit box, screws up qualifying, gets lapped early, but doesn't implode cause he can't talk shit over the radio, hangs in there, and gets a Top 5 finish. And I know the immediate reaction is "Well put Tony Sr with June's Cup team!!!". No, June just needs to grow up. 12. I can't seem to remember Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Kyle's brother Kurt mocking the fans after even more fans booed them at Bristol. What a joke, and kyle keep winning nationwide and truck races because you only have 2 top tens since the first Pocono race. 15. Kyle and Brad were racing each other for the lead and Kyle just lost control and slid into Brad's path. Brad just didn't let off, and why should he? It's not his fault that Kyle slipped. And Brad continues to show a great attitude about it. He didn't yell or call anyone any names, he once again told it like it was. 17. 18fan posted: 08.20.2010 - 11:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I want to post my view before this truly gets out of hand. Kyle had Brad cleared and was coming up, then wiggled a little bit coming off the corner, yet still tried to come up when Brad was there and, contrary to what Kyle said, couldn't do anything but run into the back of Kyle, since you don't back off racing for the lead with 30 laps to go at Bristol, and Kyle went into the wall. Totally a racing deal. Kyle then gets pissed, throttles up in the center of the corner and dumps Brad similar to how Brad dumped Denny Hamlin last November at Phoenix. Then after that incident everybody started wrecking, just like the Truck race. I think it was not 100% Kyle's fault, but pretty darn close to it, maybe 99.8%. Brad's interview shows a mature driver who, unlike most drivers these days, including Kyle Busch himself, can deal with adversity like a man and will move on and continue to race as cleanly as he can. And all of this is coming from a HUGE Kyle Busch fan(I have posters, shirts, diecasts, almost everything except his autograph). About the rest of the race: Elliott Sadler finished the race on tires he got on lap 86 and did an admirable job finishing third after winning his first pole since 1998. Joe Nemechek hit the wall in turn four and then connected with Sean Caisse and both spun. Behind them, Mike Wallace checks up and Clint Bowyer, who was leading the race, ran into Wallace and sent him into the wreck. Great day for Willie Allen, qualifying 7th and finishing 11th. Kasey Kahne had moved through the field until he got stuck on pit road and then was on the outside of Justin Allgaier when Trevor Bayne forced Allgaier high, into Kahne who slid quite a way on his side. Allgaier's race ended later when he got loose and crashed. The outside line was clearly the best on every restart and the fourth place car can easily be second at the end of the first lap after the restart. 18. 18fan posted: 08.20.2010 - 11:33 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) DSFF, the only thing Brad has to be careful of is making payback look too obvious since he is on probation, which he shouldn't be. The real challenge for Kyle will be winning the Cup race, seeing as he actually has competition that is on par with him there. If Kyle loses the cup race tonight, I will laugh. Hysterically. It will be especially hilarious to see his 100% expected routine crybaby response after the race, even if he does end up winning. I don't know how someone can have such an amazing opportunity, like being a Cup driver, and doing nothing with it but whine his ass off, but Kyle Busch somehow finds a way to do it in every god damned Cup race he's in. That is why he has to run so many NWide races despite this being his sixth season in Cup and having the talent and equipment to be a CUP champion and win 10 CUP races per year. He knows he will be ultimately blown off the CUP radar by JJ like a loose leaf in a hurricane. So although he has is truly proving nothing by having all this NWide success in his sixth CUP season (I don't like the fact that my guy, Brad K, is running more than half an NWide scedule in his first full time Cup season. Bronco, read that last line I just typed very carefully), he gets to be King for a day every week. Is it on the day that truly matters? No. That spot belongs to JJ, and Kyle knows it. But at least he can pretend. Just for shits and giggles, let's compare Kyle's Cup resume to JJ's at this point, 2/3 of the way through his 6th Cup season (2007, right before he won 6 of the last 12 races and cruised to his 2nd straight Cup title). Wins: JJ-22, Kyle-18 CUP Championships: JJ-1, Kyle-0 JJ's worst points finish- 5th(twice) Kyle's best points finish- 5th (once) Top 5 points finishes: JJ-5, Kyle-1 Top 10 points finishes: JJ-5, Kyle-2 So there, even taking stats right before JJ kicked off a historic run of wins and (continued) championships, JJ still owns Kyle. This was before JJ blew Jeff Gordon right out of the cha$e in '07, before he blew Kryle right out of the '08 cha$e following Kryle's incredible '08 regular season. Kyle, enjoy your NWide success, because on Cup days you are just like the 41 other drivers whose name isn't "Jimmie Johnson", a second class citizen, a side note doomed to be forgotten. 46. Stoic, mature, matter-of-fact. He understands that his fellow competitors expect him to roll over for them, and that racing them and rubbing fenders with them will draw their ire, cause them to whine like babies, and that they will dump him intentionally then admit to it. In situations like this he has 3 options: 1) Roll over and let them pass him, never challenge them on track, and let them walk all over him 2) Sink to their level, act in a classless manner the way they do, insulting them (aka The Ryan Newman Memorial Approach), bitch and whine, then intentionally dump them in a blatent manner then brag about it or 3) Keep doing what he's been doing, show them you aren't gonna back down, show them that your lane is your lane, and crossing into it while there will result in contact. Brad has chosen #3 and I love it. I love his attitude, I love the way these divas hate him and whine about him, and I love the way he just shrugs it off, letting them know he doesn't revolve around them. Just compare him to two world class douchebags Newman and Logano. They had a racing incident at Michigan. Newman crowded Logano, Logano lost it, Newman spun, and they have each spent the entire week responding like 4th graders. Logano crying that people won't give his silver spooned ass all the racetrack he wants, and Newman doing what he always does, flinging insults like an elementary school student. Brad? He just takes it and goes, not changing one bit. As soon as he finds a combination he likes at Penske Racing the way he did at HMS last year, and quits trying to be a Saturday NWide star which is pointless (again Bronco, read that very carefully, we are not excusing him for this), he'll take off in Cup and have the last laugh. It's a lot more honorable to get blown off the Cup radar by a Cup champion and a winner of 50+ races than to get blown off by a pay driver (Menard), ex-open wheelers (JPM, Allmendinger) and Michael Waltrip's former team. In case you haven't figured it out by now, I'm talking about KeSLOWski. Like I said last week, the hypocrisy on this site never fails to amaze me. And we don't trash him BECAUE WE LIKE HIM. And we trash Kryle because he acts like a jerk in victory or defeat. And we pick on Kryle's Cup results because he has the talent, equipment, and chemistry (he loves Dave Rogers) on that side to break up the JJ monopoly. He showed it in the first 26 races of '08. He was in F*** You Mode towards HMS. That is what a focused Kyle Busch in JGR Toyotas can do. But then adversity hit in the first two cha$e races, and he tanked, falling to the bottom of the cha$e crapper while JJ tied Cale's record of three straight titles. Now as far as Brad, ever since he stepped into that #12 team, they have showed very few signs of life. And as has been mentioned by his fans here time after time after time, some of that is due to that team being an afterthought while Brad chases an ultimately meaningless NWide title. Obviously, if nothing improves by the end of the season, they will make big changes for 2011 when Miller is footing the bill. They won't stand for mediocre performance. What needs to be mentioned is the driving abilities of a Tennessee native Willie Allen. Willie in the under classed #05 had his career best finish of 11th after qualifying 7th. He out qualified the majority of the Busch Whackers and kept his car clean throughout the race. In addition his best three finishes of his career has come in his home state. It's JGR's 54th career Nationwide win, and their 45th in the last 3 seasons. It's JGR's first Nationwide Bristol win in 45 starts. Jason Leffler gets his best finish of the season with his 3rd top five in the last 7 races. But in the other 4 races he's finished in the 30's three times. It's just his 3rd top five in 15 Bristol starts. Elliott Sadler won his 6th career Nationwide pole, first since 1998. He gets his first top five since 2005. Dale Jr. has back-to-back top fives in Nationwide (in his starts) for the first time since 2008. Carl Edwards made his 200th career Nationwide start, and became the 7th driver in Nationwide Series history to reach the 100 career top five milestone. He's 3rd among active drivers in top fives, but Kevin Harvick holds the all time record with 130. And Kyle Busch, in fewer starts, has 97 top fives so he's next to reach 100. Trevor Bayne gets his 4th top ten in the last 6 races after 5 top tens in his first 33 career starts. Clint Bowyer gets his 3rd straight top ten finish (in his starts). Reed Sorenson's 14th top ten of the season (in just 18 starts) is the 60th of his career in 121 Nationwide starts. The #32 team is now tied with the #22 for most top tens this season with 20. Parker Kligerman's 9th is his best career finish in 8 Nationwide starts. He started 43rd. Joey Logano gets his 15th top ten in 16 Nationwide starts this season. Brad was obviously very comfortable in HMS' Cup cars last year, but he has obviously not been able to find what he likes out of Penske's Dodges. They pretty much run 20th all day and finish there. And let's not get carried away, his season hasn't been TERRIBLE. The only races in which they have been totally out to lunch (running 25th or worse all day and finishing there) were Cali and Vegas early in the year, and Pocono, Dover, and Sears Point in June while Brad was plane hopping which I wish he wouldn't have done. It's just that they are stuck at 18th-20th and can't break through that for anything. That isn't a disaster. Is it disappointing? Absolutely. If the orginal plan for Brad to drive the #5 car this year had happened, he would be doing much better since he had a comfort level in those cars. I know it has been an ugly year for Mark and the #5 team, but much of that has come from their incredible season last year and their insistance on running the same setups this year. They have only recently started looking for something new, but it is too late. If they had a new driver, they wouldn't have stayed stagnant. 84. Brad is a driver in his first full season of competition in the Cup Series. "When you have the same number of top tens as Kevin Conway and the other start and parkers 2/3 of the way into a season, I think it's pretty safe to say that you're having a TERRIBLE season." I know you believe statistics ONLY count top 10s (as you have claimed earlier in this season, tool) but there IS a difference between finishing 12th-22nd than 25th-43rd. Crazy, right? I know! Brad's not setting the world on fire in the Cup series, we're aware of that. But Brad has an average finish of 22.5 this season, while not great, is still a world better than Mr. Conway's 31.8 average finish. I know this might be a little hard for you to grasp, so I'll slow it down a little bit. 31.8 is Kevin Conway's average finish. That means Kevin Conway is more likely to finish around 32nd place in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. 22.5 is Brad Keselowski's average finish. The means Brad Keselowski is more likely to finish 22nd place in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Now, 32nd and 22nd aren't amazing finishes by any stretch, but (brace yourself, it's going to get real difficult in a second!) 22nd is closer to 1st than 32nd! Amazing, right!? He's not having a great year on the Cup side, which sucks as a Brad fan, but he's still doing better than David Stremme and not much worse than Ryan Newman's last year in the 12. When Penske brings Miller Lite over to that team things WILL improve, because they'll be putting a lot more effort into the resources of that team because that is Penske's marquee team. 2010 is a transition year, and hopefully just time for the haters to amass a lot of crow they'll have to eat in 2011. 86. Posting "ignorant, really annoying and pedantic" stuff to piss you off really is fun when you can get a guy to throw a shitfit like that." Haha. Seriously bro? You think me taking five-ten minutes out of my day is "that much"? Are you trying to type with your tongue or something? As long as you have half an idea what you want to say and mediocre at best typographical abilities you should be able to type something like that in no more than ten minutes. I like to argue, dude. That "shitfit" you're speaking of is me enjoying myself blowing off some steam on some dumbass on the internet. What I find funny is you're willing to make yourself look THAT stupid just to get on my nerves. How much importance are you putting on me that you will go OUT OF YOUR WAY to try and piss me off. I may be typing a lot, with little effort mind you, but at least I'm not making myself look like a total dumbass to get another guys attention. I'm actually a little concerned by how hard you want me to notice you. That's some creepy stuff, dude. REAL creepy stuff. "LOL, so I see you want to get in all this silly name calling as well. Anyhow, seeing as how this pharmacy called you in the first place, perhaps those meds were originally meant for you. You have fun with them now!" He didn't call you a "name," except for Bronco. Does that mean you find your own screen name "silly"? And like DSFF said, weak comeback, bro. WEAK comeback. 96. For an average person yes, however, for someone like you who has clearly been brain damaged by all that short track racing you watch, it probably took you 6 hours to type all that, with some help from your high school English teacher. "I like to argue, dude. That "shitfit" you're speaking of is me enjoying myself blowing off some steam on some dumbass on the internet. You're right man, I get a real thrill out of calling Brad KeSLOWski a litany of creative nicknames, just because I know that you will drop whatever you're doing and come to his rescue.... on an internet forum. That my friend, is the "REAL creepy stuff". "And like DSFF said, weak comeback, bro. WEAK comeback." Oh shit, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not as experienced with name calling on internet forums, as you are. There's a recurring pattern I see on this site..........somebody stating a fact or opinion.....and then you going on the attack. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and YES, you're welcome to share yousr with us. And YES, we can disagree and still coexist. But when it's you vs. everyone else, it becomes clear that you're the one who can't handle having civil & polite discourse with fellow fans without intentionally trying to piss them off. I don't go around on forums and sites looking to start shit, but I'll react if I think someone's being a douche. I come on here to talk with fellow fans about the sport that's captured my attention since I was 3, to remind myself that I'm not alone in this world........that there are other NASCAR geeks like me who LIVE for Sunday afternoons. And I know you are one of them.......but if you can't debate with people without coming off as a celf-centered prick who's not open to other's ideas, then you're going to be met with hostility. 99. Read it again if you want to. I get called a "tool" for stating my opinion (which I'm not forcing on anyone else). I also mention that I don't think a full time Cup driver (who is not a rookie according to NASCAR, and their definition of a rookie is the only that truly matters) should be given a "free pass" to compete in Nationwide. For this I get called all sorts of things by Cfob, as well you. So you tell me, who went on the attack in the first place??? Anyhow, I'll let you think about that for a bit. 100. Wow, you're really not good at this. "You're right man, I get a real thrill out of calling Brad KeSLOWski a litany of creative nicknames, just because I know that you will drop whatever you're doing and come to his rescue.... on an internet forum. That my friend, is the "REAL creepy stuff"." Much like the word "statistics" I'm pretty sure you've also mistaken the definition of the word "creative." Because your nicknames don't even begin to approach creative. I can give credit when an insult is funny, even if I disagree. You, however, are yet to have an even marginally humorous insulting nickname for Brad. I heard a lot better nicknames eight years ago when I was watching him race Late Models at the Owosso Speedway! "Drop everything" eh? If I'm on this site and taking the time to post something, that usually means I have nothing else more worthwhile to be doing at that moment. You however, have professed more than once a dedication to coming on this site for the sole purpose of getting my attention. That means you're coming to this website, not for racing results, not for engaging discussion, but you're here for ME. Defending your favorite driver is infinitely less creepy (and also about 75% of all discussions on this site) than logging onto a site to try and get the attention of another user. Unless like the words "statistics" and "creative" you also aren't aware of the definition of the word "creepy" which is entirely possible. "Oh shit, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not as experienced with name calling on internet forums, as you are. Silly me, here I was thinking that internet forums such as this one are where mature people can discuss their opinions without people taking things that are said personally." Ah, right. I forgot you don't read. Bro, you started the petty insults and name calling last year when I disagreed without about how many drivers Brad had "taken out." I posted logical and, to me and several others, obvious reasons for the incidents. I'm not sure if you think you're above me or something, but you started tossing insults at me first, dude. That had to be around the Phoenix Nationwide race last year. So, I may have "insulted" you first when you were expressing your opinion... But, in MY opinion, you came off very tool-like. And why should I not be allowed to express MY opinion? I can appreciate you trying to play the victim here, but just because you're bad at debating AND insulting people, doesn't really give you the right to play the victim card, especially when these issues began with you. 101. Best start for a Wayne Day owned car since Rockingham #2 in 1993 and best finish since Bristol #1 1993 as well. This would also be the best start and finish for Willie as well. 112. Kyle Busch would make history once more by winning all three NASCAR national series (Cup, Nationwide and Truck) races in the same weekend at the same track. He would accomplish this feat again in 2017 for the second time at the same Bristol night events. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
