Apparently he can't show up with the cheated up equipment the same way he does in the ARCA garage where anything goes. Not saying he was caught doing anything illegal this weekend but he certainly struggles when he goes over to the other garages. For someone who claims to be a plate racing guru you would think some of that would carry over. Reminds me of seeing him in the garage at 'Dega in '98 trying to make the Cup field when NASCAR had him take almost everything from the rear window back off the car in an attempt to make it legal. 22. I don't know about where you live, but in the South it can literally start raining without any type of warning and have everything soaked in a matter of seconds. And it doesn't exactly take a monsoon to dampen a race track to the point where slicks won't have traction. 46. murb posted: 07.04.2014 - 7:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I realize that the rain shower came quickly, but on the video you could tell that the track was wet. And then he just shrugged it off when everyone was mad at him after the race, lol. 2004 as a whole was actually a really fun year for the Busch Series. That race at Daytona was one of several wild finishes. There was the crazy Spring Bristol race where Truex won his first race, Truex passing Bobby Hamilton Jr on the last lap at Nazareth, the Kyle/Bowyer/Benson/Robby battle at Nashville, the aforementioned fuel derby at Chicago, and then Nemechek and Biffle's battle at Kansas. Right, but Cassill and Busch both did the same exact thing, and they only penalized Cassill for it. This is all just another massive Nascar gray area. Nobody knows what the definition of "extended period of time" is. And honestly, this rule is why the NNS plate races have mostly sucked this year. The drivers are worried about bumping, so they just play it safe and run mostly single file for the first two thirds of the race. 103. I think I said it back in February, but I'm pretty sure what caused them to make this rule was the Kyle Larson crash in February 2013. They think the tandem draft caused that accident (it didn't - hard racing for the win in the final corner caused it), so they overreacted and just banned all pushing.
