And he wasn't penalized for the obvious infraction. 44. DB1995 posted: 07.12.2014 - 5:21 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Did anyone else see Kenseth pull over for Kyle Busch? 45. If there's someone with a faster car, especially if it's a teammate, why race him when all he'll be doing is holding both cars back. That's something he got from being Mark Martin's teammate at Roush al those years, because Martin was one of the first guys that figured that out. Martin realized that it was useless to hold up a faster car because he's going to get by, no matter what, so why hold him up and risk getting wrecked? That's just smart racing on Kenseth's part. He knows he's not near as fast as Kyle is, so why hold him up? 47. cjs3872 posted: 07.12.2014 - 5:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) No, I don't think so Jim, because Reed had been in front of Elliott Sadler that whole run. Everyone else either had to stop or ran out of gas trying to make it to the finish. This is one time where the conservative engine setups Roush uses actually paid off, because nobody else made it, but Chris could because Roush Racing isn't very aggressive on their engines. 58. cjs3872 posted: 07.12.2014 - 5:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Except for one thing, DB1995. Now, everyone in attendance was given some false information that many know not to be true. And Jerry Gappens, who basically runs the track at Loudon for SMI, and someone that was once a pit road reporter for ABC Sports, should know better than to hire someone as a PA announcer that can't even get his facts straight. 61. His last one was almost 2 months. He's had to fight for these top 10's, but he ain't bad. If he can do that, he can beat Brian Scott and Ty Dillon in points. If he won a race or a few, he could beat Chase, particularly if Chase makes a rookie mistake. At least, if he wasn't the victim of it. Trevor and Dylan are a bad combo. Trevor needs to drive away fast if Dylan gets near him or pray nothing he can't recover from happens. 78. racefangurl posted: 07.14.2014 - 1:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Well, about a month and a half anyway for the streak. 79. It's just that Trevor has gotten the bad end of a couple of skirmishes with Dylan K., but at this moment in time, nobody should feel safe around him, because he seems to be involved in something every time out. And Trevor has to fight for everything he gets because his cars are slow, though that ended up helping teammate Chris Buescher in the end, because the conservative engine setups they use was a big reason why Chris was the only driver that tried the late-race strategy of staying out that actually made it. But Roush cars got the free pass each of the first four times it was given during a caution period, and each of the three Roush cars needed it at least once, yet all three Roush cars were 11th or better at the finish. However, I don't expect much at all from any of the Roush teams at Chicago this weekend, nor the following weekend at Indy. Unless it's a fuel mileage race, 8th-12th is about as good as they can hope for, even with trouble-free races the next two NNS races. 81. racefangurl posted: 07.15.2014 - 9:39 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Well, I guess due to those incidents with Trevor and Dylan, I don't think they should be too close to each other too long. Trevor admits he's stubborn, so maybe that's how he's able to fight for top-10's and even at times, like Vegas last year top-5's. I imagine a top-10 for him, if he has no trouble he can't recover from. 82. cjs3872 posted: 07.16.2014 - 1:42 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @81, the same can be said about almost any other driver on the track, as far as Dylan K. is concerned, because he seems to be, as Tony Stewart once put it, a dart without feathers. In other words, he's a guy that's so wild on the track that he's liable to wreck himself and anyone he races around at just about any time, because he drives out of control. It's just unfortunate for Trevor that he's been involved in a couple of incidents with Dylan K., but he's hardly the only one. Ty Dillon, James Buescher, Chris Buescher, and a few others have also been involved in scrapes with Dylan K. this year because Dylan is, to be quite honest, out of his league in the NNS. He really should be in the Truck Series this year. 83. racefangurl posted: 07.16.2014 - 12:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) What I said about Trevor and top-10 was aimed at Chicagoland, where his highest finish is 3rd. He's fought his way back to the top-10 after an incident many times, though other times it's been too much to recover from. This can happen to anyone out there. Ty Dillon and Chris Buescher are considered rookies, as is Dylan. Of these three, Ty Dillon has the best chance of being Rookie of the Year. I predict him or Chase as Rookie of the Year. The other rookies, like Chris Buescher and Ryan Reed are long shots at best. I guess as a Trevor fan, I'm more aware of Trevor and Dylan's wrecks. It seems they reflect Dylan more than anything. I've seen Dylan should race Trucks before. Maybe next year he will. 84.
