Even though more households have cable than back in the day, the contract should have called for at least a handful more races on network TV. For 2016, I can understand due to the Olympics, but this year, there isn't going to be another race on NBC until Darlington. I would have restructred the deal so that there would be races on NBCSN, such as Pocono, Michigan and the first two Chase races. As for the Nationwide Series, I would have put the road courses and one stand-alone on NBC, as well as the last two races of the season. That's just my opinion. I can understand it on tracks with no pit walls, but I'm confused as to WHY the caution needs to be thrown on tracks WITH pit walls. It's very unlikely someone is going to flip over the pit wall and crush anybody, and besides, even with the risk of cars coming in and out of the pits...could they not just wait until after everyone is pitted to retrieve the equipment? 74. Ernest T. posted: 08.08.2015 - 4:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Hasn't it been over a decade now since NASCAR used a "local yellow" at a road course? Obviously the reason why that went the way of the dinosaurs is that local yellows don't create artificial competition by bunching up the field for no reason, or provide a good opportunity to interject another lengthy commercial break. But did NASCAR ever announce that abrupt change in policy or give any explanation, or did they just figure that nobody would notice or care? 81. If the 51 avoids mechanical failure, I don't see why he can't. A lot of tracks which favor driver ability over equipment coming up and me, you and the entire NASCAR community knows Clements>Reed. Man, it's disheartening to think that these multi-millionaire owners routinely see this pesky #51 competing with their organizations and still don't give the guy the time of day. It's brutal. If you got rid of the cup drivers, not even the cup-affiliated teams, but the drivers, Clements, Cassill and Chastain would probably grab 15 T-10's a season. So why not throw one of those 3 in the #16, Jack Roush? You're already going out of pocket to fund Bubba Wallace, who yeah he's a good driver but the results would be tenfold with any of these guys. So...I guess this is the point in the season where I finally snap with the talentless diabetic hack in the 16.
