With just regulars, it will be an interesting race to win and it may effect the championship battle. The only thing I don't like about Road America is that a caution lap takes almost 10 minutes. NASCAR should and must use local yellows on tracks like this. 3. Sarf52 posted: 08.29.2015 - 1:49 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Clements in victory lane today, LETS GET IT! 4. One of the most likeable drivers in NASCAR, Andy Lally, will start ahead of the defending race winner in a severely underfunded car. I say good luck to him and hope he'll repeat last year's performance. PWC driver Lawson Aschenbach will make his NASCAR debut for JD Racing this race. I hope he'll do good. 5. Regulars plus Paul Menard. Although I don't mind Menard since he's just running this race because it's his hometrack and he doesn't usually run very many Nationwide races. 6. jabber1990 posted: 08.29.2015 - 2:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) this race is starting Damp 7. You had a car going in the gravel, a stalled car, oil on the track, and another stalled car. All of which would be considered local yellows. But no, since NASCAR doesn't do that, the result is a half an hour caution for only about 4 laps. Just red flag it, it would probably be easier and faster. NASCAR shouldn't come back here if they can't run cautions and clean up here better. 137. Yes. Would he have been better had these things not happened? Yes, but I don't think he would have been that much better. He'd probably gotten a few more wins, but I just don't see him getting past 10. I think Chase is gonna be better than that. If you're really looking for someone to compare Chase too It's probably his current team owner, Dale Jr. He's gonna be in a high profile ride next year and have high expatiation's put on him mainly because of who his father is. The only major difference between them is he won't be driving for his fathers team. Honestly a lot about Chase kind of reminds me of Jr from his Xfinity days, at least when it come to the hype behind him. Harvick went into Homestead in 2006 with a mathematical chance at winning the title. 2014 was the 4th time in Harvick's career he went to Homestead with a chance at the title. He was a champion caliber driver well before he went to SHR. 222. 88&4Fan posted: 08.29.2015 - 7:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Wow. Just watched it, it's not even as close to being as bad as Kyle's wreck. First he hit a tire barrier. Those things are like cheaper SAFER Barriers they absorb a lot of the impact unlike the wall Kyle his. Second he backed it into the wall, so he felt a lot less of the impact then he would of had he hit it head first. It wasn't an "easy" wreck (as if there is such a thing lol) but it was no where near the level as Kyle's. 233. Sorry but i don't even think you can make that argument. You can say he didn't have champion caliber EQUIPMENT until he went to SHR, but that's a lot different from saying he wasn't a champion caliber driver. Honestly I've seen people talk about the equipment he was in but I've never seen anyone Harvick himself wasn't good enough to win a championship. You're the first person I've seen use that argument. 236. Sure Ryan drove great there and that's what gave him a shot at Penske, but again had Dave not been driving for Tommy Baldwin, Ryan never would have gotten a chance in those cars which lead him to impressing Roger. I think it's fair to say that yes, indirectly Dave is the reason Ryan has the ride he has. 239. 88&4Fan posted: 08.29.2015 - 7:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Well you haven't spent time around Harvick haters the way I have. Two cars stopped on the track during the yellow and one car dropped oil all over the track. Ben's car was moved after like a lap. The reason the yellow was so long was do to many other things not just Ben's car being stuck in the sand. 241. Doesn't mean he will continue to race NASCAR, but you never know!" He was already washed up as a sports car driver and I think he was overrated as a sports car driver to begin with. He was pretty much on the last place Prototype team in IMSA Tudor last year and he's replaced by Dane Cameron and they instantly contend for the championship. Yes, last year it was a Ted Marsh car and this year it's an Action Express car, which is a much better team, but considering the class is rather spec, Cameron clearly improved over Said by a large margin. 4th, 13th, and 6th is sort of bad when you look at what Busch and Jones are doing in the car, and I bet either of them would have won at least one of those races. Said doesn't have as many sports car championships as many of the drivers who receive similar hype. He seldom got the Cup finishes. Overrated and 50 years old and I really DON'T think he has much of a future in sports cars after Dane Cameron instantly replaced him and took the team from backmarkers to championship contenders. Put Jordan Taylor or Dane Cameron in the #54 car and they probably run away with it (hell, maybe Lally or Aschenbach too...) 254.
