Beat out Morgan Shepherd by two one-hundredths of a second with less than 15 seconds remaining in qualifying. A solid run by Timmy Hill in the Kapusta car got them in the field as well. Hill is running triple-duty this weekend. 2. Christian posted: 11.14.2015 - 2:03 pm Rate this comment: (1) (5) CupDriverWinsLOL 3. However, a mathematical clinch would require the rest of the top-4 to have bad luck. Only Chris controls his own destiny, IMO, as the others would to benefit from his wreck, blown engine or other sort of car trouble to have a real shot. 36 points is where my fighting chance line is. 5. One of the things NASCAR was talking about was limiting or eliminating Cup drivers from the Xfinity series And what people thought about that. Although we don't know the results Those surveys that seems like a promising thing that they are taking a look at it. Although it would definitely hurt this series in the short term it would be very beneficial in the long term In my opinion. 16. They're actually the only reason I follow the Xfinity these days. Once Ty Dillon, REgan Smith and Chase Elliott are gone from the series, I probably won't do a whole lot more to follow it than what I do with Trucks, which is watch it on TV when I can and read about some. 18. BMan0213 posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:15 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I get why people would want to put a limit on the cup guys racing in the lower series, but out right banning them would probably do more worse than good. IDK why people think if they did that the smaller teams would get more money. It isn't like any of these major sponsors would go sponsor Ryan Seig or Jeremy Clements, they would probably just go to the Cup series or leave the sport.Taking the Cup guys out would probably devalue the series in general too. I don't think Fox and NBC would be paying the same amount for these races if there were no big names in them, and since the tracks get the tv revenue no Cup drivers could mean smaller race purses. I'm not saying it would get this bad since I don't know the exact numbers but there could be a chance that finishing 20th now could be worth more than what winning a race would be with Cup drivers being banned. I know fans get tired of seeing guys like Kyle win all the time, but I don't think getting rid of him will make the series any better. 27. RaceFanX posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The MRN radio announcers were joking before this race started that "looking at the history book we should give Kyle Busch the trophy now (before the race starts)." They then listed races Kyle dominated earlier this year but didn't win... Rowdy's been in control so far but there's 80 laps left. 28. Canadianfan posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) This is a good idea and I agree maybe start with 12 races maximum For a cup driver in a Xfinity car So For example Brad and Joey can only race In a maximum of 12 races together The other 11 races have to be Ryan or somebody else. And then every year you could limit it bring it down to 10 and then 8 and then maybe stop at 5 or something like that. 29. RaceFanX posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Nice to see the broadcasts again starting to show action back in the pack when the leader pulls away from everyone. Rowdy is cruising in front but there's some good battles with the series' regulars elsewhere in the top-10. It's Busch, Keselowski, and Erik Jones up front with 65 to go. 30. MAR posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:33 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) @26 major sponsors don't even sponsor the best drivers in this series Buescher has about half a season worth of sponsorship now mostly cause he can barely showcase his talent without being suffocated by cup drivers. I agree short term this will hurt the series but seriously it can't get any worse than it is now. Long term the purpose of banning cup guys would rebuild this series it will attract more owners to come compete. I actually watched this series in it's best years when sponsors would sponsor anybody cause cup guys weren't winning 80% of the races. I believe companies will be willing to start helping out more smaller teams like JGL, Tri Star, RSS, JD Motorsports, which would make fields more competitive it's a short term loss for a long term gain. But I do believe Cup guys should compete but under strict restrictions. 32. BMan0213 posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:33 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @28 I don't think that wpuld really work. If sponsors really wanted a Cup guy in the car then they would just have them switch cars all year to avoid a limit. I'm against limiting the Cup guys in general, but if they do do it I like something like if you're a Cup driver you can only run in 50 National Series points races a year. With the Cup schedule being at 36 races that would give them a maximum of 14 races a year between the Xfinity and Truck Series 33. BMan0213 posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:36 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @31 I get what your getting at, but I think the real problem is how much it cost to run a Xfnity car. MAR posted: 11.14.2015 - 5:44 pm Rate this comment: (5) (0) The cost of running this series got out of hand because of the cup owners driving the cost up and nascar making this series the weekly cup practice session. If I'm not mistaken I read one it takes 6-8 million annually to compete full time in the xfinity series that sounds achievable and why would new owners wanna compete against Daytona 500 champion slash Indy 500 champion slash Sprint cup championship owner Roger Penske when he's using Brad and Joey how the hell is that fair that's why the classic owners left and that's why new owners don't even bother to join you eliminate that propaganda you give new owners hope. 39.
