JGR Toyota driver (estimated win probability: 60%) 2. Non-Toyota Cup driver (estimated win probability: 39%) 3. None of the above (estimated win probability: 1% or less) 2. Just enjoy watching a race who cares if a Gibbs driver wins 2 of are series regulars. If Dillion, Larson, Logano, Blaney, and Hamlin win is it the end of the world. Even when Kyle takes a break you people find something else to whine about. 6. Sam posted: 05.28.2016 - 1:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) JGR will win 7. The same, shall we say "overprivileged", team wins every single race in F1 and nobody complains and the fans love it. Actually they don't win EVERY F1 race, just every race where the teammates don't wreck each other out on lap 1. Maybe that will happen today in Charlotte! If it doesn't, then just turn off the TV on lap 2. 9. Mannoroth posted: 05.28.2016 - 2:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) There's no help for these people, Ultimate Warrior #18. Kid just barely turned 18 and he's already really far along. He's already outstanding on short tracks and places like Dover/Phoenix/Loudon, and in his first year racing on 1.5 mile and higher tracks he already has two top tens on them (one in the Kansas Truck race, and now one in this race which was a top five). He's gonna be really good I think. SHR has a nice piece to build around with him once Harvick/Busch/Bowyer all most likely start dropping off in another four or five years. 95. Matt L posted: 05.28.2016 - 5:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Disappointing winner, but this was the best Xfinity race at Charlotte in a while. It was nice to see a change from the typical clean & green race dominated by Cup drivers. A lot of big names had problems and there were a few big risks taken today by big names & fresh faces. The highlights were Chastain passing Wallace Jr. for the race lead, Garrett Smithley having everything go his way with strategy & of course Kyle Larson making the end a nailbiter. I think Larson is defiantly developing a fan base and with a little more patience the wins will start coming his way. 96. I'll be shocked if they take the win from him though, I mean NASCAR never takes away wins from drivers even if they have a highly illegal car (Bowyer at New Hampshire in 2010?) or wreck someone intentionally to win a race (Edwards dumping Keselowski at Gateway). Actually the only time I ever remember a driver having a win taken away was Regan Smith at Talladega. 99. The rules state you have to start at the tail end of the line. the only thing I can think of that happen is that slower cars elected to start behind Hamlin because he was faster. At the same time though, from my understating of the rules they are not allowed to do that either... Either way NASCAR dropped the ball. They should have either black flagged Hamlin for not going to the back or blag flag the other cars that allowed him to restart in front of them, neither of with ended up happening. 104. Same reason Penske doesn't run young drivers in the #22. If Gibbs doesn't run Kyle in that car, the NOS sponsorship goes away, and then the team doesn't run at all. 124. markjeff531 posted: 05.29.2016 - 10:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @123. that's pretty sad. You would think the sponsors would want to sponsor a future star in NASCAR with all these talented young kids. 125. 52 posted: 05.29.2016 - 10:37 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @98 they took a win away from Ricky Rudd at in 1991 126. Without the Cup drivers, there would be fewer sponsors and probably less ratings in a series where ratings have already gone down the tubes. It sucks that more drivers can't get chances in the lower series, but money speaks louder than talent. 127. Get rid of Xfinity and use K&N for development. If drivers want big track experience they can race ARCA or the truck series 128. Brands. And Rhodes got a very respectable run out of it no less, tying the team's second-best finish of 2016. Alex Guenette also finished 24th in the rain-shortened Pocono race and Ryan Ellis finished 22nd in the attrition-filled Kentucky race that also saw Mike Harmon pull off a 24th place finish. 134.
