Hopefully it will lead to something next season (but it's most likely a one-off), because Ragan really needs to go back down to XFS to salvage something in his career. BK probably won't let him go though. 4. Tyson posted: 07.01.2016 - 5:44 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @3 - Ragan's in the 18 replacing Matt Tifft who is having surgery to remove a brain tumor. 5. "101, Ryan Reed is the Xfinity's answer to Mikey in the Cup. He can plate race, but that's about it." Waltrip just about won Darlington back in the early 90's. He led the most laps but his pit crew hosed him over and he didn't win. He has also won a lot of non-plate tracks in Xfinity. He could have finished top 10 in points in 2003 in Cup if after Michigan 2 the wheels didn't come off. He also had not the best teams during his time in Cup (Besides DEI). While i agree with post 362, Waltrip is below average. But wasn't completely hopeless as a driver. His best track is Sonoma (average finish wise). 365. I very strongly dislike Michael Waltrip, in fact he's one of my top two or three most hated drivers ever, but he's much more talented than Reed. Even if you only compare his cup career to Reed's Xfinity career. Ryan Reed only has one non-plate top ten EVER. I think David Ragan is a more appropriate comparison to Reed, although even he did more in Roush equipment. 366. Technically his first pure NXS win (unless for those who think Allgaier won) in terms of starting and finishing the race. 370. All 3 races Logano had the most dominant car, all 3 times the field raced him as aggressively as they could to prevent him from winning. And it worked. I was dissipointed with the lack of enforcing the no tandem rule. Just get rid of the rule and let 'em push. There were plenty of clear "violations" that were never called. 371. I paid for tickets at the start-finish line so I could be cheering as the drivers came to the line.. the race was determined by a imaginary line I couldn't even see when drivers were 3 seconds from the line. It was even 5-10 minutes after the race ended before I knew who won. Never again 372. racefangurl posted: 07.02.2016 - 1:20 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) 365, actually I seem to remember somebody calling Ryan a worse Michael Waltrip. It's just that in Ryan's Xfinity career and Mikey's Cup career their only wins have been in plate races (unless you count Mikey's All-Star win). However, including only normal races, the plate wins only thing holds. Guess that's where the parallels begin and end. Without plates, Mikey's better than Ryan. The Cup is like NASCAR's answer to a Ivy League school and Xfinity might compare to a smaller college. 373. But wait, doesn't Almirola have that exemption he can race in lower series with no problem because of running in weaker equipment for a weaker team? ROFL. Doesn't matter at all, right? BS... he has a full-time Cup ride and that means he's a Buschwhacker just like Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and others. It really doesn't matter he runs for a weaker team. 383.
