As long as we're dreaming, they could also ban Cup drivers from playing in the minor leagues every Friday & Saturday and they could take away the horsepower/aero advantage they so generously donated to Toyota around this time last year. The stands barely looked 20% full and the tv ratings were poor. The series has lost all it's charm and has become Cup Lite with back markers and some road courses thrown in. And it is frustrating as a fan to see NASCAR and company jam their heads in the sand saying all is well. 125. that e-guy posted: 07.12.2016 - 11:09 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I just realized that Penske's part time #12 car beat the all mighty owners championship #22 car. 126. Cup drivers have won 69% of the races this season so far. 10 years ago, it was 94%. 20 years ago it was 46%. 30 years ago it was 45%. What does that tell me? The series has been bad for the past 10 years, at least, and it needs a change in its format. In my opinion, a driver should be able to earn points in each series, but only be allowed to race in one series per weekend (like in baseball, where a player can't play in AA, AAA and MLB at the same time). Additionally, I would like to see a wider variety of tracks in this series to serve as a proving ground for the tracks. If the series didn't race at the same place as Cup, it would make it harder for drivers to participate in both races. If Cup drivers demand to be able to race Xfinity for more experience, then maybe we should put them out there but not score their cars, and they wouldn't earn any winnings or owner's/manufacturer points. 127. Those are some interesting names to see in the field. Too bad the equipment barrier assures none will be able to do anything noteworthy this weekend 130.
