Koch with yet another final round appearance. That's 7 in 17 races this
season, I'm sure he'll pick up more top 10s soon. Koch and Ryan Reed
seem to always finish just outside the top 10 in Xfinity races

another pointless race for the Xfinity Series.

Why waste the time and fuel....just give Kyle the trophy, not sure how

^I swear the only people who get genuine enjoyment out of the Kyle-fests
in the lower series are
A. Kyle himself
B. Joe Gibbs
C. His team/crew
D. NOS Energy, the sponsor that insists upon him driving for them in the
series
E. Kyle's fanboys who actually find it impressive that he's able to
decimate fields consisting of 2/3rds mediocre/garbage equipment in the
best equipment possible in that series
and F. People like MStall41 (who I haven't seen in a while) who insist
that we disregard and throw out all human emotions when watching races
and view them objectively instead to see they are actually minor
masterpieces (in otherwise, basically view each race like you were a robot)

It's no wonder why I don't watch the lower-series races as frequently as
I used to. I've seen 100 of these "epic" victories by Kyle, why do I
need to keep watching them? 8 times out of 10 when he's in the field you
know he's going to lead at least 75% of the laps and win without a
serious challenge...and the sad thing is we're going to have to keep
looking forward to this for years to come because the sponsors demand it
and NASCAR won't do anything to limit the amount of Cup driver
involvement in this series...

(And yeah, I realize it was much worse back in the day before you call
me a hypocrite. Didn't enjoy it then and enjoy it even less now...)

Two thirds?

This is a forty car field in which 3 of NASCAR's overprivileged pet
Toyotas and one other Cup driver have any chance whatsoever at a win.
That's a pretty typical Saturday scenario these days and amounts to 90%
of the field having zero shot unless a miracle occurs; they're just
racing to see if maybe one of them can get a top-5.

I can't believe nobody in top three series (other than Baldwin and JD
Motorsports) have given Preece a legit opportunity yet. He's been
killing it in modifieds for years now and always brings home his
terrible equipment in one piece when he does run in NXS. He's still
young too. I'd love to see him run part time or something for one of the
big teams.

Ty's kinda a hypocrite saying that. Bowman is a decent driver, that
sadly lost his ride in a douchy way with TBR. I always wanted him with
JRM. He's lead more this season than Ty has probably. Dale took him for
a reason.

Ty kinda only has his ride because of Grand-Pa. He's a ok driver, but
I'd rather take Austin than Ty.

Alex Bowman in 4 NXS races this year: 2 top fives, 4 top tens, 44 laps led

Ty Dillon in 16 NXS races this year: 5 top fives, 10 top tens, 37 laps led

I know it's an incredibly small sample size, but Bowman has absolutely
done more in his four races than Ty has done running the full year this
year. Who doesn't belong in a race car now?

There's probably at least ten other young drivers I'd take over BOTH of
them, but yeah, obviously Austin over Ty. We bagged a lot on Austin for
winning the 2013 title with no wins, but at least during his full time
NXS he actually regularly contended for wins and DID win multiple times
(albeit at least one of his Kentucky wins was with an illegal car, lol).

Ty has absolutely underachieved when it comes to running up front and
competing for wins, way more-so than Austin did in his full time NXS
career. Admittedly this year it seems like none of the RCR cars can win
other than the #2, but in Ty's time running full time NXS he has less
wins in the same equipment as his brother, a mid-pack Cup driver in Paul
Menard, and a late-in-his-career Brendan Gaughan. He's done a good job
at getting consistent finishes (which shouldn't be surprising driving
for RCR), but when it comes to being a serious race winning, front
running driver, I can't take him seriously. Once he gets up to Cup
(probably next year in the #31 in all likelihood), he's gonna get smoked.

Jolly Mean Giant, I don't know who wouldn't. Though NASCAR claims to be
a league driven by the fans, most of their decisions are anti-fan. Why
do fans complain so much more about NASCAR than fans of any other sport
complain about that sport? Because it's bs, plain and simple. I will
reiterate my stance, that NASCAR and its developmental series should be
like MLB. NSCS is MLB, and the developmental series are MiLB. NXS is
AAA, NCWTS is AA, and all the others are A. You shouldn't be able to
race in two races on the same weekend, just like you can't
simultaneously compete in MLB and AAA. Or in Kyle's case, all of them.
Think about this: in Kyle's last full-time season, 2014, he competed in
36 Cup races, 26 Xfinity races and 10 Truck races. That would be like
playing in 162 MLB games, 113 AAA games and 63 AA games, approximately.
Nobody would be happy if someone did that, and struck out 20 guys per
game in those other leagues. It would be frowned upon, because that
player shouldn't be there. And the same should apply to pit crews and
crew chiefs, so that the Cup teams wouldn't be at such an advantage by
pulling their Cup crews to Xfinity. The system is seriously broken.

I lost a lot of respect today for Austin Dillon. He was out there
driving with little regard for any of the other drivers in the field.
Nearly wrecked Brennan Poole twice, then took out Bubba Wallace, Ryan
Preece, Ross Chastain, Elliott Sadler and Jeremy Clements. Preece was
having a great run at his home track and Chastain could've pointed his
way into the Chase. He screwed Poole out of a good top-5 finish. Another
example of why Cup guys shouldn't be in this series at all. And this
isn't the first time a non-series driver has caused issues (Kyle Busch
at Texas 2011 or Denny Hamlin every time he drives in Trucks or Xfinity,
for example).

The big difference is that Blake Koch is in mediocre equipment and Ryan
Reed is in Roush equipment. It's pretty obvious that Ryan Reed is the
worst driver in nascar atm.

@66 Koch team isn't really that mediocre they do receive RCR support but
their a brand new team with a lack of notes but his season has been
impressive. But agree 100% Ryan Reed is trash and probably the worst
walking paycheck in the nascar garage area.

pretty much shows that over the course of 15 years the amount of reg
winners in this series has died out and will continue to get worse if
nascar doesn't put a limit of how many races and certain driver in cup
series can race in the lower series. Noticeable differences starting in
2006 were a lot of cup guys running the full xfinity schedule and for
points so.... But atleast back then we had more winners than we have
today. Current day xfinity series consist of the #22 and #18 team
winning and ofcourse the rare occurring of one of JGR's drivers winning
and even a rarer cause of any other teams winning.

I wouldn't go that far and say he's the worst driver in NASCAR, not by
far, have you seen Mike Harmon lately? Or Jennifer Jo Cobb? Maybe he's
the worst driver for a major team, at least in XFinity, though I would
argue Cody Coughlin is doing far worse for KBM's truck team

I also wanted to note:

Remember when Kyle Busch failed to win a race for 9 straight years, back
in 2012? This is the year Brad Keselowski will try for it. I know how
fast the JGR cars are this year, but the question is can he do it?
Because that's a record Mark Martin still holds today.

Kyle Busch has made 10 Xfinity Series starts this year and has won 6 times.
It's crazy to think he actually could made it 10 out of 10 - at Fontana,
a blown tire cost him the win in the last lap. At Bristol, he screwed up
the final restart and couldn't pass Erik Jones. At Pocono, he never got
the chance to compete for the win, because that race was shortened due
to rain. And at Michigan, Daniel Suarez overtook him in the final lap.
He always was a factor for the win in all races he entered.

And about Brad Keselowski's winless season - I really don't think it
will happen, because that 22 car still belongs to Roger Penske, who has
superior equipment, but is off a little bit this season.
Kyle was unable to win in his own equipment, but was really close a few
times (at Daytona, Talladega and Kansas especially). His worst season
with Joe Gibbs Racing is 2014 with 7 wins despite running 26 races (I
don't count 2015 season, because he was injured and unable to compete
till Michigan).
His bad 2012 season is probably the lesson for him to stay just in
Trucks with his team and to give opportunities to young drivers, which
he does really good.

How about nascar ban the cup owners from this series since the cup
series created a charter to eliminate new and part time teams from
joining. That would be the only way to truly equal the balance in the
xfinity series. Force the cup owners out by selling off equipment to
other organizations. And using there development drivers in xfinity
owned teams and allowing alliance help. Example JR Motorsports even
though they are Hendrick supported there not overly dominant which is ok
in this series.

I'm probably going to be frank about this, but as far as the banning
anyone from the Xfinity series, I don't think NASCAR is going to do
anything until sometime AFTER Kyle Busch hits 100 wins. He's only 18
wins shy.

As usual, Kyle Busch/JGR/Toyota dominates NOS Series qualifying at
Indianapolis in preparation for the "Lilly Diabetes Foregone Conclusion
250" coming up later this afternoon. Even equally-talented Cup drivers
in inferior equipment couldn't keep up the pace!

Don't fail to miss the highlight of the event: a momentarily great
battle for 14th place somewhere around lap 36!

Will today be another historically dominant win of historic dominance
for the greatest minor league driver of all time, or will his mini-me in
the #20 take the checkered flag? NBCSN commentators can hardly contain
themselves!

Erik Jones finished second in this race driving a gray-and-orange car
promoting the upcoming video game NASCAR Heat Evolution through his
sponsorship by the retail game store GameStop. Gamers who pre-order
NASCAR Heat Evolution at GameStop before its release later this month
will be rewarded with a code that will allow them to download additional
paint schemes to race with on Jones' car in the game including the
NASCAR Heat car he ran here.

Rick Allen along with Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte were the
commentators. Kelli Stavast, Parker Kligerman, Dave Burns and Marty
Snider were the pit road reporters.
