Suarez is very consistent but he usually fades late in races and seldom really challenges for the win. Jones screws up an awful lot. I actually think it's only 50/50 or slightly better that that triumvirate will win. Most likely buzzkill Brad will. I'm personally rooting for Josh Berry though. He is to this date the only driver who has beaten William Byron in a championship as far as I know... Berry deserves a full-season Xfinity or truck ride more than so many of the people there. 4. Also Iowa is his best track and hes the all time lap leader here in Xfinity competition. As good as the JGR cars are his win here in the spring had more to do with him than the car. 10. Great to see Herring having a good run, but come on, don't act like Armstrong is so awful when he's still running top-10. He's in the #18, which is the fastest of the three Gibbs cars, which are ridiculously faster than everyone else. Hard to say I'm impressed with him in sixth place, especially when the guy driving the car he's been in all year long is only one spot behind him. Give Herring the #18 tonight and he'd be at least in the top three. 23. Braindead Zombie posted: 07.30.2016 - 8:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Competition caution is out. 24. Armstrong brings the funding, and it isn't like he's doing a bad job. Think of it this way: If Armstrong wasn't in the 18, then either McReynolds or Herring wouldn't be racing tonight in the first place. 27. In fact I'm pleasantly surprised that JGL still brought both cars to the track this weekend, since there have been some weekends where Armstrong is their only driver. 28. God I hope not, the guy's a complete wrecking ball. He makes Brad and Joey look like Truex and McMurray. Drives like a complete tool with no respect for anyone else on the track every single race he runs yet he had the nerve to whine about Regan Smith moving him out of the way for the win. Penske and Discount Tire got rid of Villeneuve but then replace him with someone who is just as reckless. Sorry for the rant, just can't stand drivers who run 2 races every year but don't respect the people who are running for the championship. 37. He's usually great here but that wreck earlier just killed his chances tonight (he got the free pass afterwards but there's just way too much damage to be competitive). Penske has a great chance of winning next week at Watkins Glen as they're entering Logano in the #12 as well as Brad in the #22. Double the chances, and in recent years they've probably been the best team in the Glen NXS race. 44. Tyson posted: 07.30.2016 - 9:21 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Also, again on Tags - I think running more and more Pinty's Series has helped him really mature as a stock-car driver (which feels weird to say for someone of his age), but in that series, he normally races really clean. In fact, he's told me on a couple occasions how he much prefers to races people who will work hard to get around you rather than those who plow right through you. Can't blame someone for racing hard when they only run that series a few times a year. 45. Braindead Zombie posted: 07.30.2016 - 9:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Back under green 46. I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (as far as not just assuming he'll cause a wreck in those two races). But from what I've watched him in some of his NASCAR races, especially the truck race at Mosport last year and Road America in 2014 he's been really reckless at times. 47. murb posted: 07.30.2016 - 9:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) As wild as Tagliani has been he's nowhere near Villeneuve or Papis when it comes to on track destruction. I'd love to see somebody else get a shot at those races instead of Tagliani (in particular, Ranger or any of the OTHER Canadian guys - hell, maybe even Ambrose in a one off since he's apparently done in Australia now and has ties to Penske from down there - though on second thought he's probably not much of a step up in terms of being a wrecking ball as he was still tearing up way too much stuff in his most recent NXS one offs DESPITE being a full time Cup driver at the time), but if it's really down to a bunch of washed up road ringers, I'll gladly take Tagliani over Villeneuve, Papis, Said, and all those guys. 48. Thank goodness I have you to keep me in check. I was simply listing examples. I was simply talking about series that are the most "mainstream". Not the ones that you have to search through the directv guide for an hour to find out what time and channel they are on this week. Didn't think I had to spell that out for everyone or that anyone would actually think I thought those were the only racing series out there that existed. I forgot about keyboard warriors like yourself who get their daily shot of testosterone and adrenaline by talking (typing) like a badass from the attic above their parents house. Never hurts to be reminded though so thanks. Does this make you feel better? OFF THE SERIES I CHOOSE TO FOLLOW, it's been a horribly dull and predictable year. That better Mr. Man. I'm gonna get back to my life now. Wasted enough time arguing with someone of your stature. Normally wouldn't write at all but while you were walking around today with your chest out and your head held high thinking you "showed that ignorant fool" I wanted you to know that I actually knew other forms of racing existed before you told me and that I actually know how to use the Internet quite well. You did succeed at confirming my fears that society as a whole Is getting dumber by the day. I'd love to send you a thank you note but much to surprise another internet tough guy posts with the name Anonymous. There's a new one. Bye bye now. Please be sure to let the rest of us peons know if the rain picks up at pocono. You'll be the first to know on your high horse ð??? 114.
