Erik Jones back on the pole. His 7th of the year. 2. that e-guy posted: 09.24.2016 - 6:38 pm Rate this comment: (1) (1) Joe Gibbs sweeps the front row. Jones hasn't been THAT dominate all year. Besides, if you're too worried about it, don't watch it. These things happen. It's crunch time. Time to get yourself in position to win the championship. This is what Jones has to do in advance to the next round, as consistency haven't been on his side. 13. Gained some respect back for him there. 139. chevyfan98 posted: 09.24.2016 - 11:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) ^I thought I heard that too. I thought the racing was solid, even the long run, was good despite being a little bit of a wreckfest. 144. Is the 22 car actually going to be winless this year? I'm quite surprised that's going on. It's not like they switched to a BKR type organization like Kyle Busch did with KMB back in 2012... Luckily Roger Penske has that win with the 12 at Watkins Glen..or maybe not. If didn't throw in Logano in the 12, Brad/22 team would have won already. 146. chevyfan98 posted: 09.25.2016 - 12:34 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) "If didn't throw in Logano in the 12, Brad/22 team would have won already." No he wouldn't have. Brad had that issue at the end of Watkins Glen. I forgot who finished second, might've been Suarez? Personally I'm hoping the 22 does go winless. Not just because I strongly dislike 2 of the 3 drivers that run it (3 of 4 if you count Tagliani), but it would be hilarious to see the star car that literally has run one race with a non-cup driver all year long because the sponsor won't have otherwise, not win a race all year. They're already well out of the running for that precious owners' championship. 147. Sector posted: 09.25.2016 - 12:41 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Oh it was Paul Menard. Ehm, Ryan Blaney is a full-time Cup driver in the 22 just because Discount Tire doesn't want anybody but Keselowski, Logano and Blaney in that car. 109. I bet he wouldn't let him by. This ain't Formula 1 and when you can't keep up with the leader, you just won't win and you have to handle it. There are no team orders when cars from the same team battle for the win. 149. It's getting pretty pathetic when you guys say this. Ryan Blaney is a rookie in Cup. It's excusable for him to race in the lower series. I understand Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, etc, but come on. It's getting as old as Kyle Busch leading 95% of the race. 150. Maverick posted: 09.25.2016 - 1:10 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Blaney has more of an excuse than the other Cup drivers, but I still don't like it. But if he continues to do race the 22 in say, 2018, then he should be lumped together in the same group. 151. chevyfan98 posted: 09.25.2016 - 1:12 am Rate this comment: (2) (0) I don't mind Blaney running SOME races. But there is no excuse for him, Brad, and Joey to be splitting the ENTIRE SCHEDULE in that car while Reddick, Hemric, Cindric, Theriault, etc. don't get any. Heck, other than Cindric they aren't even signed by Penske, which I guarantee at least one of them would be if Discount Tire didn't insist on having a cup driver in the #22 every. single. race. 152.
