If I want to watch a supposedly great battle between Cup drivers, I'll tune in on Sundays for the Cup race. Maybe NASCAR should just stop the Xfinity ("names are made here") charade and do what the V8 Supercars does -- run a pair of top-level races each weekend. 51. A better analogy would be Tom Brady enrolling at Michigan and suiting up for the Wolverines on a Saturday in the fall then suiting up for the Pats on a Sunday afternoon or Monday night IMHO. I'd much rather have a development series, ya know, be for developing drivers and not having Cup drivers in it. IMO the Cup owners are just as guilty for fielding NXS teams and putting Cup drivers in their cars, but the sponsors are also to blame wanting the big name drivers in the series. A driver like Kyle is more marketable than a mid level NXS driver. Leads me to wonder, if Danica somehow wound up in NXS full time, purely from a marketing standpoint....would she still be as big a draw? 77. Maybe it's time for NASCAR to put something in play like that for its lower series. If you're in the top 35 in driver points, you can't run NXS or Trucks. That sort of thing, it'd stop the top level Buschwhacker guys and actually let the series do its job, you know, be a second tier feeder and developmental series..... Then again, I doubt that really. I doubt much can ever be done about fixing the broken system at thi spoint, I'm simply wondering how much longer the series is going to be around, and if we will see an NXS champion who wins a title without winning a race at all for a string of years... 87. chevyfan98 posted: 03.05.2017 - 2:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "What a pleasure to read all your jealous comments."
