Pretty decent run for the Harmonator in qualifying. I'd like see Harmon have a good run, Thompson and I hope Morgan will run the distance. 4. rm posted: 05.06.2017 - 12:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Childress dominates qualifying, with 4 of their 5 drivers placing in the top 7 and Childress-affiliated Blake Koch wins the pole. Childress power is 2 for 2 with superspeedway poles this year now. Brendan Gaughan continues to struggle and qualifies 17th, much lower than the rest of the RCR cars. Shoutout to Mike Harmon starting 29th. It's the highest he's qualified since he started 19th in the 2015 Daytona season opener! B.J. McLeod had some kind of mechanical failure and didn't post a time and DNQs the race. Tough break for a team that had to think after Daytona, "Can't be any worse at Talladega, right?" 5. My guess is that he went across the line one more time after the checkered flag fell, for some reason, when no one else did (or before anyone else did).
