Also heard that Mike Harmon got tired of Jordan Anderson bumping him from the field, so Harmon hired Anderson to drive the #74. 5. Mannoroth posted: 06.01.2017 - 6:47 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) 1. William is extremely talented and will no doubt get a win eventually. I really hope it comes in the Liberty car because they have been supporting him for a long time. I know he won 7 races in their truck last year but I just hope his first xfinity win comes with them sponsoring. I also hope they follow William to Cup in 2019 with the Hendrick #5 or #48. 10. You're going to say that Jason Keller won Talladega in 2002, a race with a crash so damaging that only three cars (one of which was literally about to park when they saw the crash happening and decided to give it their best shot) finished on the lead lap, on SPEED ALONE? Are you insane? Start and park teams cannot simply run well when they feel like it. Not only were those Talladega races, which almost anyone can win, but they both had massive crashes. Keller only finished as well as he did because all the stronger cars fell by the wayside (granted Keller still had some speed left in 2002). It was a mix of the superspeedway shuffle and surviving. Last I checked, Dover is not a superspeedway, and is very rarely a survival race. Also, your argument is barely an argument at all. You put Jeff Green in 9th (which is not a top 5 spot by the way), and proceed to mention Jason Keller in your argument. I...can't even put into words, it's simply...no, just...no. 31. Chris posted: 06.03.2017 - 11:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Are you really arguing that Jason Keller, who won four races and was second in points in a good car, won the Talladega race because of the wreck? 34. Seibaru posted: 06.03.2017 - 11:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @33 Nope. He had some speed left in him in 2002, and was a frontrunner frequently that year. Sure it SECURED him the win, as his only other competitors were an S&P and an upper midfielder, but he would have challenged for the victory even if there had been no wreck. To Tide, anything that isn't Hendrick, Gibbs, RPM or Roush is a backmarker. ...Thanks, by the way, you made me finally realize that this fool isn't worth my time. Not sure what made me finally pick up on this now, but whatever works. 35. Corey posted: 06.04.2017 - 10:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @33 That wreck at Talladega, took out nearly every other contender in the race. The lead pack was Jason Keller, Stacey Compton and Kenny Wallace. Those three just pulled away on every restart. Wallace fell out with ten to go due to an engine (and stilled managed to be credited with 9th) and so it was just Compton and Keller to battle for the win. There was not way for Compton to get around Keller all by himself. It ended up being a pass in the pits that sealed the win for Keller. 36. Currently, Armstrong and Koch hold spots 11-12, which become 10-11 once Wallace misses a race. After that, JJ Yeley and Sieg rank AHEAD of Gaughan and Brandon Jones. Realistically, the other 9 drivers in the Chase are certainly in: Allgaier (Win), Reed (Win), Sadler, Byron, Hemric, Custer, Poole, Annett and Tifft (based solely on the fact that those two drivers are in elite equipment--certainly not elite talents). This leaves 3 spots for Koch and Armstrong to defend against the 2 underperforming RCR cars and the overachieving Sieg and Yeley. I won't be surprised if at least one RCR car misses the Chase and a couple underdogs sneak in. 42. Stewart14Rocks posted: 06.05.2017 - 6:57 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The chase this season is honestly dreadful in terms of the championship. The only drivers that could contend for the championship are the JRM cars, wouldn't be suprised if the #1,#7, and #9 all made the final 4. The way the #62, and #33 of RCR's seasons have gone I wouldn't be suprised if they both missed the chase, they are usually bottom half of top 10 when they aren't involved in a wreck. 43. JR-TV posted: 06.05.2017 - 7:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) ^Bubba Wallace was Ford's best shot at a driver's championship in Xfinity. Without him the only other Ford drivers running for the championship are Ryan Reed and Cole Custer. Neither of whom I consider serious championship contenders. The way it's looking, Chevrolet is almost guaranteed to win the Xfinity championship. The only full-time Toyota drivers are Matt Tifft and Dakota Armstrong. Again, I don't see either of these being championship contenders. Chevrolet has Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier, William Byron and Daniel Hemric. I really think Bubba would have had a good shot at making the final four at homestead if only someone would step up and sponsor him. I'm suprised Ford has no interest in running for the Xfinty driver's title. Maybe they think they can just do it with the two sponsored teams they have left(Reed & Custer). I think these two are real underdogs to make the final round of four. I'm calling it now. 2017 Xinity Series Final Round of four will be all Chevrolets with: #1-Elliott Sadler #7-Justin Allgaier #9-William Byron #21-Daniel Hemric Champion: Sadler 44.
