I believe the name of the team is Nextgen Motorsports. It appears they also field the #13 car for Enrique Baca in the Peak Mexico Series, and they are the team that worked with Carl Long to field Baca's Xfinity attempts this year. Now, they are trying to make the show in their own #55. 6. PCRF0006 posted: 10.20.2017 - 12:33 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Josh Berry is driving the #55 Toyota this weekend 7. RaceFanX posted: 10.21.2017 - 5:15 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) This race came down to a battle between two Gibbs Toyota racers from other series; Cup racer Erik Jones and Truck racer Christopher Bell. Jones dominated the race Bell ran him down and got a run in the closing laps; he took the lead in turn 3 only to get loose and come up the track in turn 4. Jones never lifted despite Bell's issues and rammed his #20 right into the back of Bell's #18; both cars got the outside wall but Jones got the worst of it with damage than eliminated him from contention while Bell drove on to his first career win. Bell will move up to the Xfinity Series full time next year. 14. Let Bell run into the wall and go back around him on the low side. No, he plows into him and ruins his car and then whines on TV like his mentor. Disgraceful that Kenseth is being replaced by a child. 36. joey2448 posted: 10.21.2017 - 8:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I thought it was a great move that Bell made, the typical kind of slide job that we've seen drivers make in the past. Jones could've turned down the track and tried a crossover move, but he decided to try to roll around Bell on the outside using the momentum he had. Oh well, mistakes are made. Hopefully Erik learns from it. I'm surprised Bell was able to keep motoring around the final three laps or so with the damage he had on his right rear quarterpanel from Jones hitting him. I thought for sure that third-place Ryan Blaney or Tyler Reddick were in position to capitalize on that and catch him, but he held on for the win. 37. Mannoroth posted: 10.22.2017 - 12:17 am Rate this comment: (0) (2) 21. They can't, because Topeka isn't in a modern shape. Plus, it doesn't have "enough" seats for all those potentional fans that can show up like Kansas. 37. Kyle Larson can only tie Kyle Busch's 5 Xfinity wins this season (if he starts and win Texas and Phoenix). The only remaining threat is William Byron, who needs to make it 3 in a row to surpass Kyle. So if Byron doesn't win at Texas, he can only tie Kyle, not surpass him and Kyle's record will continue even with the limits that he can't run more than 10 races. I wonder if Kyle can make it in the next season, where he's further limited to just 7 starts... that would be hillarious, if he did it as well. Anyway, good job, NASCAR. Do you see what your limits for the experienced Cup drivers caused now? 4 playoff races and not even one of them was won by a series regular (Reddick doesn't run for the Xfinity title) - playoff races!!! They should be just for the regulars SINCE 2016... So hard to announce no Cup driver no matter the experience can run them along with Dash 4 Cash races and standalone races (Cup drivers don't care about them, anyway). No other limits are necessary - Cup drivers will have "their" races to win just like the regulars. 40. Well, these playoff races should be just for the regulars since 2016. I don't understand why it isn't that way now... And NASCAR has to do these limiting on stages instead of just saying you can't race in the playoff, Dash 4 Cash and standalone races since 2016 and keep it that way for many years. Cup drivers will win some races just like the regulars - I don't need any special education to realize it. Plus, you are now happy that they win the races, but wait till they become full-time Cup drivers and still will be running and winning these races... People just love to turn on their former favorite drivers, when they do something they don't like. 45. The difference was Jimmie Johnson hit the brakes, let Edwards slap the wall, and took back the lead for the win. Jones flat stayed in it until he killed the car. I'm really surprised NASCAR didn't throw the caution late, as there was a ton of debris on the track between Jones, Custer, and JJ Yeley's issues. Was a fun last couple laps, though, kinda reminded me of last year's Fontana race. 47. George posted: 10.22.2017 - 1:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Erik Jones is Kyle Busch's mini-me: lots of talent (in superior equipment to the rest of the field) but an oversized ego and a monstrously oversized sense of entitlement. (Come to think of it, that describes Lewis 'Silver Spoon' Hamilton to a T as well.) Jones is still young enough to outgrow it, but if he doesn't he's going to be one sad puppy when the time comes that his equipment isn't quite so superior. Though that day probably isn't coming anytime in the very near future. 48. Jason24 posted: 10.22.2017 - 7:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @46 Thats a good one.
